But they will be able to attract some decent talent. The Saudis have other means of persuasion besides money.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Dom Fifield and Matt Woosnam writing in The Athletic say the most likely outcome is that Zaha will be offered and will accept ‘slightly improved terms’ to extend his contract. This would be a great result!

I think it's common knowledge that Parish tips them the wink about news that he wants in the public domain but he can't know what's in Zaha's mind

Wilf is looking very strong on the pitch. Maybe he has been weight training. He also looks super fit. I don’t see any injury problem. He is definitely improving his mental issues albeit he has taken to openly having a go at some of his team mates. He looks a tad slower but he is still quick. I believe as our new style evolves and more quality players start to shine for us, Wilf could emerge once again as a super talent. Truth is he is still a very very good footballer. If he is helped getting his head around his weaknesses and builds on his strengths he could still become a giant.

Against Leicester when he got ruffled a few times he has this habit of pulling his shorts up to expose his thighs like he is wearing an old fashion type of shorts. He is in awesome shape and it’s like he does this to control his anger or even scare the opposition. Whatever reason it confirms firstly he is in tip top condition and secondly his desire to win. His heart is still right in it. He is still very competitive and arguably still our number 1.

Perhaps the new talented, energy & flair signings & our approach to games this season (as opposed to recent previous ones) has a lot to do with it - I am not saying Wilf is suddenly reborn but if we could win a few more games & he sees that we are climbing the league instead of just doing our best to stay in it he would want to stay & be part of the new improved journey (OK the lack of him having better offers will also play a part but having him with us & wanting to play inevitably makes a significant difference)

It is probably worth noting that Vieira also agitated for moves a few times while he was at Arsenal, so he'll understand Wilf's position, but he might also be able to remind him that sometimes being a legend at one club is better than the glamour of a so-called big club.
