Every business wants maximum profit, and if that"s in the e.u, paying less wages for entry in to the biggest trade block, then more will follow. It makes sense to me if you are a business owner-even if it"s getting cheap labour, but in a different country where the cost of living is also a lot cheaper. Presumably Bangladeshi sweat shops are acceptable then, and no one on here will/ have ever criticise them

If our business goes to Romania, not because of a sweat shop culture but just because things are cheaper, including wages, then its actually god for europe and more a nail in the brexit argument.I can only see business owners going where they make most profit, if thats Romania or indeed Bangladesh to the sweat shops its rather worrying for british jobs.

I have so far lost work 5 times in my life for reasons that had nothing to do with me. It is not good.

I did see on tv a few months back a british farmer, saying that he would love to employ local british workers, and has done, but for some reason they don"t turn up for duty on a saturday morning, his words!

Corruption is a serious problem, and anticorruption efforts have been weakened by politicized enforcement. Due process guarantees are poorly upheld and security forces carry out a range of human right abuses with near impunity. Romania has much higher educational standards. It is serious competition for all European countries and should not be confused with Least Developed Countries.
