I think I may be correct in saying that no EPL manager had any experience of the EPL until they got a job at an EPL club. Some do better than others but who is to say Vieira isn't going to fall in the Wenger, Klopp, Pep, Potch, Rogers camp. I have Googled this and you are correct. I also found this interesting statistic about Patrick Vieira - no team he has managed has ever been relegated from the EPL!

If Vieira become manager he will be the only black manager in the prem. As we morph to a darker shade as a nation, Palace are right up there leading the conversion in football. Especially if we are taken over by the likes of Thierry Henry and his conglomérate of ex black players. Interesting times. Wonder if this will happen?

Brian kid has just left Citeh, he’s been part of the back room staff. Is he joining up with PV? Thoughts?
In dog beers I’ve only had one. |

Some mangers EARN their Premier league place by grafting in the Championship and gaining promotion.

Indeed. Well spotted if a little unkind mocking the afflicted. When using a preposition with and adjective one must always remember to place the preposition after the adjective and immediately before the noun!

I always remember him being awful at Blackburn but a quick check of Wiki tells us he followed a certain R Hodgson.... uh oh #historyrepeatingitself: Kidd left United to take charge at Blackburn Rovers in December 1998, replacing Roy Hodgson who had been sacked after Blackburn's poor start to the season left them in the relegation zone. Despite Kidd having a promising start with Rovers, which saw him voted Premier League Manager of the Month and having also spent nearly £20 million on new players in his first four months in charge he was unable to save them from being relegated from the Premier League (just four years after being champions) and Kidd was dismissed on 3 November 1999 with Rovers standing 19th in Division One.
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |
