Get ready for a very bumpy ride from now on. Anyone thinking Lampard will be a good fit will find out now should he get the post.

I have my doubts about him, he had the tools at Chelsea but didn’t know how to use them!

Speaking to some supporters last night, there was an air of perturbance following the official announcement that Mr Hodgson is departing.

There might be a situation whereby many will only fully appreciate his efforts when he is gone.

Well done Palace and Roy
The whole announcement and interviews were done with great dignity.Something sadly lacking in football and life in general lately.

So as I have been given a YELLOW i think only correct that I rephrase my post and show some respect to jjeagles unlike his disrespect to a principled man with the utmost integrity...I mean Sir Roy and not myself...
I must apologise for using the word Moron and my reasons for this are that I could not find a more apt word to describe you..
Looking back on Sir Roys career and the amazing respect he has from other managers and the football world as a whole it came to me that your erudite post was as useful as a fart in a space suit..
My hopes for you as you look back on your future career flipping burgers are that you could have only hoped to have and dreamed to have been as successful as Roy....
So as I wander off into the sunset with my two brightly coloured cards (inevitable) I salute your lack of respect and decency with my middle finger raised on one hand and two fingers raised on the other... Prick

Typical cowardice by Teflon Roy.

Great news for football in England.

Cannot understand how you can be so rude and disrespectful to a Manager and Coach who has dedicated his life to football and is largely responsible for keeping a mediocre team in the PL for the last four years with little support in terms of team investment. During this time he has earnt and enormous income for the club and has stuck to the task when other may have walked away.Roy will always be fondly remembered as a great and much respected CP manager who saved this clubs PL status over four seasons on a shoestring budget!

I wholeheartedly concur with these sentiments.

More attention seeking crap. You had shown some signs of growing out of this kind of behaviour, but obviously you can't help yourself.

Hopefully now that Roy is on his way out, you will follow.

What a fitting tribute the BBC broadcast this morning before chatting to Roy live from his home.
Celebrating highlights of his career they show his Liverpool side conceding to Blackburn and Luis Suarez thumping in the winner for Uruguay against England at the Brazil World Cup.
I bet he enjoyed that!

Thank you, Roy, for being the safe pair of hands this Club has needed and keeping us in the Premier League without too many concerns. The very best of luck in whatever your future holds.

It’s a shame that not everyone has the good grace to appreciate what he has done for us. “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”.

huge respect to Roy and ray for what they have done for this club. Stability is often overlooked once people get complacent. Top manager who has done a lot with a little but its time for something new and I look forward to that! I've bemoaned him for being boring at points but can still appreciate him for the not so boring moments! Cheers Roy
