fill every panel with feckers who can barely read, write or speak English. regardless of colour.

They are getting there with indecent haste!!
TV and radio where consonants, finishing words and inflection are fast becoming a thing of the past!
Goin, comin, vare (there) to name but a few.
I don't ask for or expect perfection but it is almost "cool" to speak badly in the media nowadays.
A great shame.

Oh - and as another poster said - that Woman on the BBC who commentates on motd as well as a few other sports has a really coarse and shouty voice - I cannot abide her voice and put it on silent even if it is Palace.
How did she ever get that job!

If you think that it is their ability that's most important, then surely you need to wait to see who the replacements are and if they're better before you get this upset about it?

Further, if it is the ability that's most important, then people who know what they're talking about are the pool of people able to selected from. That pool is more black than the rest of the population. Therefore, something closer to 35% is the right statistic. There are a lot of Janets who are 70+. living in the UK who have never watched a game of football who are totally irrelevant for the purposes of picking a SSN panel.

Do you honestly think that the current panel are being sacked because of their ability? I don't think you actually do.
That would be a disingenuous position because we all know why they are going. Anyone who has watched SSN for five minutes lately knows why that are going.

Is that the one on the cricket who has an orgasm when there is a leg-bye?

Grrrrrr.

Bring back Boycott his Auntie can do better than that with a stick of rhubarb.

I wholly endorse these sentiments.

Perusing this has reminded me about what I told my dear wife when David Dimbleby announced he was stepping down from 'Question Time' - "He will be replaced by a woman" and of course I was proved right.
When Neil Ashton stood down from 'Sunday Supplement' he was replaced by a woman and Alex Scott replaced Ben Shephard on 'Goals on Sunday'.
Not that I have anything against women!!!!

That certainly conjures up an image of The Rhubarb Triangle.

That lady on Sunday supplement always looked very very very uncomfortable talking l, having an opinion in case, and just being there to me. Understandable to begin with but she didn’t ever relax into it. Bizarre that she was hired and continues to be hired. I’m all for women on anything, if they’re suited to it, same for anyone.

There's an Asian girl on the cricket, I've always thought she has quite a sexy voice. Different strokes I guess.

The darts on Sky is pretty bad.

They have someone called Laura Turner (who is a pro) who averages less than most decent pub players. But she ticks the boxes.

Her commentary includes gems such as

“If he hits what he needs he will win this leg”
“He needs to win this one or he will lose”

Coupled with the fact she can’t count and is crap at the game, it’s not something that adds anything - other than a box tick.
