So apparently the club used the designs from some fan on instagram. What a wasted opportunity. If it's possible and OK to use a design from a supporter, why not open it up to the fanbase and make a competition? Can you imagine the enthusiasm and participation that could have generated. Then we'd all be vested in the new kits. Missed a great opportunity. Especially in these difficult times when we can't see our team play, etc. The fan's profile name was Ms. S. Reid.

so many fans moaning for the sake of moaning its boring. what’s. not to like...simple, clean & uncomplicated. if i had to moan about anything i think the white kit should be the home kit, its amazing.

With a vote on kits there will be at least one someone likes and will buy. It all boils down to money that goes to the club so there is no point going down the route of it's just a kit like rashid. Do we not want a kit which a majority would buy resulting in money through merchandise to the club. In my eyes we have gone from all three kit options of one of the most popular to a big difference of a kit the majority won't buy. When you are wanting to change as much as the kits have, I would have thought (especially as parish was part of a advertising company) he would test these kits on fans first before deciding on what to go with.

As you’ve touched upon Parish has made millions from marketing.

It’s not moaning for the sake of moaning. I’m about as positive as they come on this forum. The funny thing is that I never buy the kits, the last one I bought was the centenary one in 2005. It’s not something I usually care about and it shouldn’t bother me, but this is a spectacular failure. It’s such an odd looking strip and just doesn’t feel like a Palace kit. I’m astounded that someone passed this off. It wouldn’t be getting the reaction it is if It was ok looking. We’re gonna look like a right bunch of wallies running out in that! I don’t know how much the club rely on merchandising, but I can’t see many of these being sold.

I tend to agree with this 100% about the white kit, maybe it is an age thing? Edited by Spiderman (09 Aug 2020 7.43am) Edited by Spiderman (09 Aug 2020 7.46am)

Exactly, if it was okish I wouldn't have said a thing and I suspect a number of the other posters wouldn't have been as negative either.
