Website states he attended RGS 1974-1981 so he was never a part?

let me help, what I said was " attended the Independent Reigate Grammar", Is this not correct?

It is quite common for people to be an alumnus of an organisation of which they were never a part or which changed during their time there, I am an alumnus of two such organisations. Things move on.

I just don't know why you have to keep going back around a road we have already travelled

Yes, he joined Reigate Grammar when it was a Grammar School and therefore was State funded. When he was there it changed to Independent status.

Why you have to repeatedly state he went to what is now an Independent School - without any acknowledgement of the history about which we have already written - is beyond me. I can only assume you haven't been keeping up or you think that in some way it gives you political credibility and loses him credibility. Neither would be correct.

The only reason I have revisited this is because you seemed to suggest that I said he joined when it was Independent, which as far as I am aware I did not. If I cannot have an opinion that he is more a Tory than some tories, so be it. I am not in the slightest interested in gaining political credibility, why would I? Not that interested in politics tbf but IMO you can come across as patronising ( or amusing depending on your perspective), taking “delight” in correcting posters spelling/grammar which I consider to be unnecessary

It's so long ago I can't remember who I was. Nearly 40 years. Blimey.

But do you remember Thomas Bennett? My first teaching job. So good they shut it down.

Ah, apparently not. Now an Academy in new buildings.

Not usually into Politics but based on the fact he looks far sharper than that scruff ball Corbyn & sounds (at least) like he's clued up to give Boris a run it seems a better deal for Labour fans

Red & Blue since 73'
