I'm sorry for those that paid to see that.

We will never progress beyond where we are without new ownership. The club needs a new ground and big investment in the squad to sustain and build on its success thus far.

Desperate game of football.

This is that rare occasion where I regard Hodgeson as fully deserving of criticism.

He should have rested more of his main players.

If he did that and we lost. A lot of people would still be moaning because they want a cup run. I’m with your opinion. It wasn’t worth taking the risk and no it has back fired big style.

People very calm about being knocked out of the FA cup for christs sake. Obviously these same people didnt go to wembley 4 years ago. Youn cant win every game but to lose today I thought was poor. Derby goal keeper flapped at the ball like a swirling plastic bag in the wind. Seriuosly cannot play like this in the league when we go a goal down.

Midfield were pathetic it was only Ayew who can go round someone and keep the ball. Did you see that passage of play in their half we got the ball and passed to a CBack for him to pass to Mcartur who then passed it back and then repeats this for 6 passes !!!!!

If he had fielded more youngsters and we'd lost so what?
People would have understood such a crap performance and moved on. Instead we got the injury, 3 match ban on Milivo and more unbrested 1st teamers.

Bad call Roy.

We are sitting in the top half of the table with a comfortable amount of points.

Yet we seem to be concerned that a cup run might be too ambitious and could relegate us.

So we accept losing 1-0 at home to a team in a lower division.

It's a very defeatist attitude all round and show contempt for paying fans.

We can't be picking up this many injuries based off of bad luck. It's poor conditioning and it's gutting our squad.

To boot I saw a stat on the beeb the other day which stated Palace averaged the least amount of km covered per team over the festive period. Begs the question if thats the case why are our players consistently pulling up injured?

Could all be down to lack of subs. If a player knows he's coming on for 20 minutes he can run like a headless chicken and get the average mileage of the team up.

If players arent getting subbed then they are playing more football, and getting more tired than their counterparts. Hence injuries.

For me it's just logical.

We don't have a large enough squad for a cup run and that is more than compounded by the injury list.

The rational thing to do would have been to play the youngsters and rest the first team squad.

He must have considered it....but I think the old lad took the wrong turn.

given the lineup i assume nobody is surprised, after the suspensions & injurys today i expect roy will be demanding signings this week, even if they are loans.

We aren't that comfortable with our injury list and likelihood of spending money in the window.
