A good result today, I feel a real vindication of Roy's management and tactics. Many bemoan it but the reality is we need him and his tactics/structure at the moment whilst we are in a period of trying to sort out further investment/ownership of the club. We are lucky to have him. (Basically its like the Geordies when they had Benitez but Parrish is less of a kn*b than Ashley).

We're pulling out these results when we need them. It all adds up! Forth in the table after 8 games!

Much deserved win as we had a lot of possession, maybe not the best chances, but that was a nailed on penalty. There seems to be a lot of hype about West Ham at the moment, but didn’t see much quality on the pitch from them. They do love giving it the BIG un... did you know they won the World Cup in 66?

Cahill, Ayew and McCarthy all for nothing - not a bad summer transfer window after all. Could have wasted our money on Aarons, Che Adams and one or two others who have done nothing since. Well done the management team.

People also knocked Cahill and Mccarthy as awful signings. Make's me think these people havnt a clue about football. There is more than 1 way to win a game of ball, not every team can be Liverpool. We have Roy's way and we are doing ok.

Got to say that Guaita had a big game today, especially in the 1st half. Kept us in it. Would be in the running for man of the match for me?

I've been Roy's biggest critic at times and hold my hands up. I may be his biggest critic again. However, after our baffling summer transfer dealings, which admittedly seemed to frustrate Roy as much as it did us, he is working miracles so far. Other than the Sheffield United game, which was an absolute disgrace we've outdone ourselves. I'm absolutely shocked by our current league position, particularly with the lack of a prolific goalscorer, but cannot believe how happy I'm feeling tonight. Roy finally saw, sense by replacing Hennessey as number one. Cahill was a masterstroke, Joel Ward has stepped up to the mark big time and was my man of the match today and as for Ayew I think 90% of us were thinking the same thing when we signed him permanently, how wrong he's proving us to be!!!! Praying for a point at home to City and we can kick on from there. COYP!!!
"It's ok postman , he'll lick you to death" "That isn't really that comforting , I still end up dead !!" |
