We are one of those average premier league teams with the loudest of fans. We haven't helped ourselves by paying ridiculous wages for a club our size. Nor have our transfer dealings been of the same calibre as, dare I admit, as Watford. We need to do better in both departments as well as churn out an AWB every two seasons if we are going to move on from perennial relegation battles. Personally, cant see that happening anytime soon. tut, tut, tut. Don't we just lurv our Palace!

Just seen that Norwich have signed Sam Byram from West Ham so does this mean Max Aarons is leaving as they are both right backs and if so could his destination be Selhurst Park? Kind of figures as I don't think Byram would leave the bench at West Ham just to be a sub at Norwich so it's an interesting development.

They picked him up for £750k so, even if he doesn't set the world alight, that's a superb signing for them given his age and how well he was playing pre-injury. I reckon he's there for genuine competition - you need 2 players for each position and that signing is a no brainer for them. If they went down he could start for them in the Championship.

To date, we have signed one player, a goalkeeper, who in his first game has shipped 6 against non league opposition.
