Asking for equal pay now. I suggest equal standard = equal pay. A few years away yet. I enjoyed watching the English ladies as I could support them but, overall, standard was poor.

I would say the standard equates to a decent non league side. Not sure how much they get paid but I suspect it will be a pay cut for some.

Professional sport is entertainment players should be rewarded based on income for that sport. It doens't matter if women's cricket is terrible what matters is does anyone want to pay to watch it. If they do then the players should be rewarded accordingly. Equality in sport is a misnomer.

This sounds about right to me. Women's tennis is commercially popular and they get paid well. Women's darts on the other hand, nobody gives a monkeys toss about and so isn't. I'm all for a bit of money being put in at grass roots to improve standards, but I don't see women's football shifting significantly from the current position which of relatively popular at national level and disinterest at club level.

Women's tennis just fills the gaps between the Men's game. How they get paid the same as men for doing half the work is unbelievable.

After the last Women's world cup attendances in this country went up briefly then went down. They have a lot of work to do before the hype matches the reality.

Watching that Rapinoe woman, the good ol' US of A certainly knows how to hype things up. They haven't stopped shouting about it since touching down. Hopefully their heads'll explode soon. Humility isn't in their make-up.

If you are referring to the major tournaments, the women do between three-fifths and two-thirds of the work, as you put it; so that's more than half. In regular tournaments they do the same amount of work.
