Well he certainly wasn't iron jawed. All his losses coming by KO. Once hit he froze like a rabbit caught in headlights.

Loved Frank but he was really only a fringe contender.

Yeah he was great....I'd say around the top five for a few years.

Bruno gets a bad rep because....the reasoning is that unless someone has an iron jaw their detractors say that it's weak.

But Bruno was ok, I think apart from his last fight he only ever got knocked out when he was knackered and even then it took multiple blows.

Saw him take good blows early on in fights.

I' wouldn't have dared called Frank Bruno weak!

How on earth has Eddie Hearn mismanaged AJ's career?

A promoters job is to earn money for himself and his fighters. AJ has probably earned more money so far in his pro career than all the other top 9 heavyweights in the world all put together!

Please tell which promoter you think he should have signed for? Warren, Hennessy?

As for Hearn offering crap match ups, I guess you have never been to a Frank Warren show? Matchroom (with SKYs money) have pretty much reinvented boxing in this country where as its been dying a death in the States for years. Not saying Hearn is perfect etc but to say he has mismanaged AJ's career is simply not true. For your information AJ earned around million last year alone.

Yeah, really managed it well.

Ended up fighting an unknown journeyman as a stand in for some other chump to a half full house whilst much more lucrative Fury, Wilder and Whyte bouts went out the window.

f***ing top management that is.

As for reinventing boxing? Some of us see past the bombardment of sky assaulting our senses with their propaganda.

I think Bruno suffered from the same thing as Nigel Benn, and possibly Joshua, in that they could all really punch and were fed a stream of willing victims then when they came up against an opponent who could hit back they didn’t know how to respond.
The preoccupation with unbeaten records is counter productive. All boxers, except one, lose but chasing a 20-0 record leads to meaningless mid-matches which just feed the hype.
Boxing fans appreciate skills other than an the ability to knock someone out.

So I will repeat my question, who should he have signed with Chris?

You can repeat your irrelevant question all you want, it's impossible to know what his options were or what was on the table at the time.

All we know is what has happened. Last night shows he's been mismanaged after a couple of years f***ing up getting the big fights. Hearn thought that he could be king maker over a Fury/Wilder bout and he made a right dog's dinner of it.

Personally, I don't understand why footballers have agents or boxers have managers/promoters. It isn't a requirement.

AJ is a brand in his own right. Why not have a team of solicitors to take care of the legal aspects of the contracts and use a dedicated team of his own?

Why couldn't he have an arrangement direct with Sky? Cut out the middle men.

Na, Hearn has been great for British boxing.

He's a promoter, he doesn't decide Joshua's training or coaching.

Joshua is one of the richest men in sport.....if that's being mismanaged then a hell of a lot of boxers would love that level of mismanagement.

And Ruiz is not a 'journeyman' even by the harshest stretch of the word.

Asking who you think he should sign with is a perfectly relevant question. As explained, AJ has made a staggering amount of money during his short-ish career. More than the rest of the 10 ten heavyweights combined and then some.

You have said that AJ should leave Hearn as you believe he been mismanaged, I am just asking which promoter do you think he should have signed with and would have made him as much?

Let's put this into perspective. Hearne has the goose that lays the golden egg, regardless that he's made more than 9,10 or 11 other fighters. AJ got a career high 18m for last night. Fury got 14m for his last fight as an example.

Selling out Wembley is great but we all know the big fights and big.money is Vegas and the American PPV.

Canelo got $42m for his last fight, McGregor got $85m from his exhibition match with Mayweather and you think that AJ with his brand power, star quality, talent and looks is isn't being poorly managed just because he's made more money than someone else? He's the undisputed heavyweight champ ffs.

Of he's incapable or unwilling to promote his own interests he should've signed with one of the big hitters like golden boy.

He'd have been better stage managed and be worth at least double.

He also wouldn't be getting in the ring completely unprepared to face a roly poly fairground puncher for relatively s*** money on terms he never signed up for.

Hearn committed him to a contract and he had to fight. As soon as Ortiz dropped out the whole thing should've been cancelled.

He's a s*** house snake oil salesman. Tickets (half unsold) still had the original matchup on them ffs, Hearn didn't even get a reprint.

Before the fight:

AJ “this is gonna be a piece of cake”.

Ruiz “somebody say cake?”

Just goes to show you can be as fat as Neil Shipperly and be heavyweight champion of the world.

Saw an interview where AJ said “if the journey ends now, I have a lot to look forward to” or something to that effect.

If he retired soon I wouldn’t actually be surprised as I don’t think he gives a f*** anymore.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.
