maybe not now, but he has to go if we are to advance I agree, shake his hand at the end of the season and wish him well. His CPFC league record is 56 games and 66 points, so every 10 games he'll get you about 11 or 12 points. He got roughly the same ratio for Blackburn, Liverpool and WBA, he did slightly better at Fulham. That might be ok for some people but I feel we need to aim higher in our 6th Premier season.

This club hates ambition. You still see bods say they'd be happy to finish 17th ffs still, hopefully when the end of season review comes we can look at the evidence, assert that Roy has kept us up but underperformed and let down our season ticket holding fans with another year of disappointment. Shake his hand and thank him but don't be afraid to aim for higher. Some of the results this season have been criminal as has his misuse of Wilf leading to his decline in form and struggle to get back to what he is good at

Losing at home, need a goal, brings on Schlupp with Meyer and Wickham on bench...I’m sorry.....I think it’s time Hodgson left It’s funny - whenever we lose, whingebag fans like you come out of the woodwork and constantly complain. But whenever we win, you’re so quiet.

So you don't agree that bringing on a defender instead of attackers when chasing the game is a strange tactical decision? Edited by ChrisGC (14 Jan 2019 8.07am)

I disagree with those who think Hodgson performed a miracle. Pulis performed miracle based on our starting league position and players. In Pardew's first season he did a great job coming in after Warnock to keep us up. BFS did a good job, but spent about £45M plus had £30M Sakho on loan. Roy had 34 games and one of our best squads to turn it around last year, basically all he needed to do is not play 3 at the back. It was a good job, but we'd already avoided relegation 4 seasons on the trot. It's not like it was an impossible task with the players we have. Like Pardew, he seems to have run out of ideas. Unfortunately, these managers have a limited shelf live before they get found out. We had an insane injury crisis and a striker who forgot how to score. At one point we had no fit strikers and Roy had to get Sako playing as a makeshift striker with Lewington barking instructions from the side line on how to play the role. It was perhaps not a miracle but definitely as good as anything Pulis or Pardew achieved.

Parish won’t want Hodgson gone but he should be looking for a new manager anyway. I’d rather watch this football in an armchair. If we were sorting out loads of infrastructure stuff properly rather than pretending to like scouting then it would be slightly easier. I’d rather stay up with this football than go down, but there must be optimism out there, only we only go for reliable experienced British isles managers, or mental Dutchmen. All the escape artists have been used up. Time for the football advisors at the club to do their work. I’m not hopeful there. And there we lead back to getting the infrastructure right, not hiring ex Palace players only because they’re trusted, only DF isn’t really, is he?

Instead of bringing on Meyer who needs more time and does well when we get the opposition on the back foot, which is ultimately the aim at 2-1 down, he brings on Jeffrey Schlupp, one of the most limited players in the regular squad and who’s really a defender. Hodgson just wants the score kept down and plays the probability of us getting more goals than the opposition over longer time periods. Don’t bother hoping or wanting something to happen because it often won’t be attempted. Just sit back and wait for a surprise goal in otherwise a dull or frustrating affair on the pitch. Just pray we’re looking at potential managers. Miracles can happen.

How this guy keeps praising scouting and puts up with no funds is shocking and if he beliefs what he is saying to media he really is past it. Who would replace him say he does tomorrow? I can't think of any one that would want to come here. I said this before let him retire end of the season but he wont I can see him seeing out the new 2 year deal he signed which means if he is backed in the summer then goes the next season we could be in same mess player wise as before new manager not liking players wanting new ones which means need to spend which SP does want to do. You could write the same post on Newcastle, Cardiff and Huddersfield etc fan sites. Has it not occurred to you, that managers enjoy their job and the challenge, otherwise why would they do it?

I don't see a team lacking confidence, we've played pretty well lately although our finishing skills is lacking, hopefully a lethal striker would sort that. The Watford game went down hill fast as soon as Hennessey took over in goal, regardless of his pre-injury performances the guy seems to lack the respect / command that Guaita has & as such the back 4 are all over the place.

I very much doubt that any thought has been given to this at this juncture as Hodgson's contract runs to the end of the following season, he kept us up last season against all the odds and we are not in the relegation zone at present so a replacement is not a priority. If God forbid we really struggle and slip into the relegation zone then minds might be concentrated in this direction.
