Absolutely! He played really well in a more advanced position yesterday. Not everything worked but most did. He is beginning to settle in to the team and I can see him and Wilf developing a good rapport; but these things take time. If you don’t make mistakes you don’t get better!

How many Eagles fans would switch him for Pogba?

well if were being honest you would switch him for pogba in a heartbeat, but its not happening. ever.

Do you mean Pogba, that lazy, self interested, French f***er that was playing ( in parts) for Moan United yesterday?

yeah, the world cup winner, the multiple time winner with juventus.

just because jose is f***ing up united big time doesnt mean hes not one of the best in the world.

I'm not impressed with Pogba at all and can't see what he does that's worth £90m.

Irrespective

He’s overrated

Would I have him? Of course

Can he lick the boots of a kazillion midfielders from the past I can mention and bore your tits off with?

No, not by a stretch

im not suggesting that pogba is on his game at the minute, but there was a flippant comment made that we wouldnt swap meyer for pogba...which is bollocks.

anyway, back to maxamillion meyer...perfect cabaye replacement, and free & 10 years younger!

Yeah, when he feels like it, like he is not trying to engineer a move away. I wouldn’t want a player like him at Palace. You never hear United fans singing his praises and this is his second stint at United to boot!

I thought he was incredible yesterday. He played on the left when defending and more centrally when we had the ball.

I've been saying since the Bournemouth match (where I thought he controlled the game in the middle) that he should be playing more centrally, but for some reason he has been stuck on the left where he doesn't look comfortable at all.

But credit to Roy, I thought it was genius yesterday how he ensured that Meyer defended on the left but was given a license to move more central when we had the ball - and I feel it made all the difference yesterday. It also allowed PVA to push up more than he usually would.

Brilliant game yesterday, it has given me a positive feeling going forward. We wouldn't have been at all surprised yesterday if United blew us off the park with the quality they had on show - but it was us, and us only who made them look ordinary.

Being there with the noisy palace fans. Oh yes
It looked like pva was the key to max moving infeild.
Recently pva stayed back which meant max stayed left.
Yesterday pva pushed up left so max moved infeild
And did a great job.
Not sure if roy instructed this or the players saw it was doable
It worked well and maybe sako gave pva confidence to push up with how he was playing.
Great point which before the game wasnt expected even with our chances thats what i would have taken.

I missed the game. What was his position and role in what formation?

played wide left when we were defending but centrally pushed up behind the front two when we were in possession. I only watched the first 40 mins but he was absolute class imho.

There’ll be huge amounts of humble pie on order very soon.
