Cucking Funt Clapham on the Back 30 Sep 18 8.00pm | |

Can't remember what year this alleged assault took place but said she was fifteen (work that one out). Can't remember whose party it was. Can't remember where it took place. If this was such a defining moment of her life, shouldn't she remember at least two of these? Shouldn't it have been etched on her brain from that day forth? And there are people out there who actually believe her bullsh*t. Edited by Cucking Funt (30 Sep 2018 8.02pm)

Anyone who does 'listen and believe' deserves mockery. It's not accepted by courts nor anyone impartial. Even though I regard the term, 'victim blaming' as a coddling of the mind implicit here is your framing of this person as a 'victim' without any proof other than her testimony. Indeed, using this logic, anyone who challenges an unproven version of events can be said to be 'victim blaming'. It's almost child like. 'Nobody has challenged the assertion'? What? Nobody else has even confirmed that this particular event happened or many other details.....So how on earth can it be confirmed whether or not she was drunk, tipsy or sober. You stated something as an absolute from testimony about a contested event 'recalled' or 'invented' from over thirty five years ago. There can be no certainty. You do deserve mockery for this instance and I am mocking you. Edited by Stirlingsays (30 Sep 2018 8.09pm)

She made a pretty convincing fist of saying this was something she wanted finally to address. I am sure others thought this a bit of a gift. He supports a view that could make Trump pretty untouchable. Edited by Mapletree (30 Sep 2018 9.26pm)

These things shouldn't be influenced by politics but unfortunately they are. The battle over the supreme court was lost in 2016. The Democrats are now pretty much an even crazier version of the tea party. You playing 'listen and believe' is accepting their playbook.....unless you're just trolling. Who'd believe that eh.

I hadn't realised that she was claiming she was scared of flying (to the hearing) but didn't have a problem doing this for holidays. I think that was a misstep and smacks of delaying tactics. What I don't get is why people are raising money for her? This is not a criticism of her but rather of the donors. She has a job and I get the impression she is not financially on the rocks so why would the public donate? It would would have made more sense to say the fund was available for other victims so they could take legal action against their offenders. Still if people want to give her money that is their choice just don't get it.

It's the 'culture war'.....today figures in the public eye who are on the front line of the left/right tug of war in society end up being financially supported. Regardless of whether they are fiscally ok or not.

If you're going to argue a point and state "read the transcript", you'd better have done it yourself. By her own admission she had drunk one beer. Even the post by Silvertop that you'd misquoted is odd, as it starts off by saying those on both sides would have already made up their mind no matter what, suggesting that he hasn't, but then goes on to digress to "he was probably smashed".
