To be fair I would have been happy with 4 points from last 2 games beforehand. We Just need to get a gap between us and bottom 2or 3 .Very hard for clubs near bottom to win 3 on trot.

Newcastle were very well organised defensively, but it's still frustrating not to get the win. Meyer coming on seemed to get us moving the ball quicker and if Sakho hadn't gone for the photo finish we would have won. AWB for me the best player, but both fullbacks got forward well (and had little to do at the back). The other players seriously need to get some shooting practise in though, as we can't expect Wilf to come up with a worldy every week.

On a side note, good that the camera got a clear shot of the Newcastle tw*t who threw the bottle at AWB. Lifetime ban for a moronic action on its way.

Why should throwing a bottle be rewarded

What's your thought on Sørloth? Too soon to judge? Does he need a full game? Fairly obv. he doesn't seem to be a game changer. Let's get Connor on.

Too early to judge. Give him more game time. He is still young. PVA was poor when he first joined us.

Two points lost today. We don't move the ball forward enough. Too many passing side ways and backwards - including a couple of near suicide passes - and wasted free kicks.

I hope you're not planning to travel to the Hawthorns on Monday night because Palace won't be there... We play on Tuesday.

Pretty sure the game is Tuesday? Agree he shouldn't play though.

6 games, 4 goals. 3 from Zaha, 1 from Schlupp. And only one of those games was against a top team.

Basically, when Zaha doesn't have the ball, we have no chance to score.

Ayew has done nothing so far. Invisible today.
Townsend has lost a step, and speed was his only skill. He passes like he's blindfolded.
Kouyate has done nothing. No idea what he brings.
JMac and Luka have done nothing. I'm ready to bench one of them.

Offensively, we're hopeless. Nice that we have 7 points, but it's excruciating to watch.

2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

I thought in the latter part of last season we were moving forward better, but we seem to have gone back to our old habits of endless sideways and backward balls. By the time we get within touching distance of the opposition penalty area they have 11 men behind the ball.
