Just an update. Yesterday a chap purchased a burger from food outlet in Lower Holmesdale. The burger was burnt on the outside but raw in the middle, a steward advised him to change it (I think they knew each other), the replacement was as bad. At the same time a female steward who had been involved spoke to another chap and advised him to inspect his burger, it was the same, as was it's replacement. To be fair the steward reported it saying that these should not be sold, the club's representative's reply is staggering "They can be eaten rare but the CHEF (sic) should ask how they want them done!!!" FFS this is not a restaurant selling quality cuts of meat. Should the club really be condoning the sale of potentially harmful food?
Basic food safety.

All this talk here What are they doing about it Year after year same s*%#e Yet artisan food has moved on... I agree with those saying get some pop ups in they will go down a storm This club has no imagination for fan feeding in either beer or proper grub...! I hear the management say there’s no complaints going in ...! They are oblivious to the situation in my opinion or it’s too much hassle for them with hardly any profit to bother supervising the elffff n f fe%^*ng safety food hygiene etc I hope our boys are getting fed better stuff... looks like they are the shifts they are all to a player putting in ... footballs coming home to Selhurst ... patience the goals are a coming

I recall going to the Simod Cup semi-final at Nottm Forest against our team all those years ago in the days when Stuart Pearce was playing for them. Palace supporters were housed behind one of the goals and one of our supporters who appeared somewhat temulent was in a steaming bate pointing to a screen and bellowing out that one of the culinary offerings which he really wanted was NOT available so shouldn't be advertised. I got the impression that he wasn't enamoured with the catering facilities at that club ! Might be all different now of course.

Returning to catering at Selhurst Park I found this on a website : Food on offer inside the ground includes; Cheeseburgers £4.50, Palace Ale Hot Dogs £5, Hot Dogs £4, Chicken Burgers £4.50, Steak & Cronx Ale Pie £4, Soulfood Tomato & Black Bean Pots £5 and Chips, sorry French Fries here, £2.50. I don't avail of the aforementioned catering facilities so don't know if this is accurate or somewhat out of date. Edited by Willo (24 Sep 2018 9.47am)

I've now wasted half an hour on this lovely morning reading everything about "temulent" on Google. It means pissed, and according to one authority is linguistically related to "abstemious", from the Latin "ab", away from, and "temetum", alcoholic drink. Yes, I know, I should get a life.

Indeed the gentleman in question certainly appeared to be in such a state of inebriation. I recall now that this same person was very irate at the fact that the Police decided to keep us supporters in the ground after the final whistle whilst the home supporters dispersed.
