You're the one who seems to be googling just to tell us Jordan Ayew didn't play all his games as centre forward last year. To say that he played as attacking midfielder is just a position you picked up from a website when clearly Swansea was playing with 2 strikers in those matches. Yes, some of us actually watched the games I google to confirm what I remember , both André and Jordan played in various positions.

Starting to sound like people just want us to sign a striker and anyone will do! Think there is some truth in this, and think the club think the same so I'm not sure it's a bad thing. Agree with the comparison to Frazier Campbell. Said it earlier or in another thread. We have never really replaced Campbell and I'm certain Parrish has said in the past how much he thought of Campbell and his influence on and off the pitch which fans never saw.

What top scorer? 6 goals in the PL cause one was a penalty and goals against MK Dons in the Cup games. Does this make a top scorer these days? Geeez, Swansea mustvhave had really poor players if he ended up top scorer. And his season before this he has an even worse record You do know they got relegated don't you? Usually means most of the team weren't up to the task. Ayew always looked useful when I saw him and would be a good squad player IMO

It’s not that complicated. I know this has been quoted twice already but this is the best post I've seen in a while. It's getting worrying what Palace fans are turning their noses up at. It makes me think we'll turn into one of those teams that insist on "pushing on", then proceed to get relegated 3 consecutive seasons and go into administration. We will never be a club that has Aguero in our starting 11 and Jesus on the bench (or something to that effect). However, a strike force of Zaha, Benteke, Ayew, Wickham and Sorloth is pretty damn impressive for Crystal Palace Football Club.

I like this signing if true, he fits everything that was right with Palace last season. Our best football was played where players up top could drift across the front 3, the opposition couldn't handle us especially at home. With Benteke up top, it leaves us static and one dimensional, whipping the ball into the box in the hope it lands on his head which is easier to defend against. With Ayew we get more mobility, more pace, more running with the ball down the centre to add to what we already have on the wings with Zaha and Townsend.

Previous to him refusing to train withe Swansea to force a move I would have been all for bringing him in, but now , not for all the tea in china. Has just shown his true agenda, another mercenary.

Now there is a tired phrase from the 80's! I was more pointing put that you were factually incorrect re minutes played and that we hardly had any prolific forward players last season. As I understood it, Hodgson was after a front player ho could play a variety of positions. TBH, I'd rather have Antonio
