Firstly, he won’t stay fit. Secondly, England have really s***e central midfielders. Henderson, Dier, Delph are all pretty average to compare against, and I’d argue they are all (a lot) better than Wilshere anyway. For some reason, people rate Wilshere. What has he ever done? Given the ball away a lot. Alli? Ox? Loftus-Cheek? You've deliberately picked unglamorous midfielders, including Delph who doesn't even play there anymore, to skew the point. He has played significantly more over the past two seasons so I don't necessarily agree with your first point either. If we could get 25-30 games a season out of him he could be massive for us.

I’ll agree that Wilshere is far worse than Alli, Ox and RLC. Earlier you said you thought he was our best midfielder though?

Clearly you're no fan of his which is of course absolutely fine. However, my opinion is that he is a fantastic player and could potentially be an outstanding signing for us. Let's see who ends up being right.

Can't believe people don't want a player of Wilshere's quality in our team. He is a brilliant player and would make us stronger. Fully agree with this. Signing-on fee plus wages would represent a pretty cheap deal by current standards, certainly cheaper than say £10 mil plus wages (and smaller signing fee) for a Joe Allen type of player.
Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune) |

Roy clearly rates him (taking him to a major tournament with little playing time before) so I’ll take his judgement over my own preconceptions.

And playing for Roy again may be the reason he would want to come to us.

This guy is a regular starter for Arsenal, who are better than us. If we could get him, then he would take us forward. And yet people on here think he is not good enough for us, or are raking over the last few seasons to find reasons why he is somehow flawed. Whilst onother threads people are saying that we are Palace, and are therefore not going to sign £30 million + players. If all this is true, then surely the only route forward is to sign these flawed quality players who have fallen out of favour in the Champions League teams, when we can. To do so we have to accept that they are flawed and that this is a risk.
