This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Vicente Guaita thread' by Midlands Eagle Since he has come back from injury Vincente hasn’t looked the assured goalkeeper that he looked when he first came into the side. Today he was flapping at every aerial ball and looked a bit of a clown. Let’s hope it’s just a temporary blip otherwise we will need another new keeper for next season

At least he was willing to attack those corners instead of cowering on the goal line. Three of his first-half saves were outstanding - one exceptionally so. Yes and cost us the first goal , brilliant. Which one was exceptional, I saw two standard near post saves one straight at him , and one just raise a hand.

It looked like the wind made it difficult today, but VG was quite adventurous, it has to be said. Not a style we're used to recently... Harsh to blame hime for the whole result, the other ten didn't do much. I was hoping for a reaction after last week, but no. We'd better perform convincingly against Huddersfield otherwise our season is disintegrating. He was the main reason we went a goal down but during the whole game our defending (apart from the brilliant one) was utterly and totally crap, I spent the whole game hiding behind the sofa.

Shades of Barthez today. So who was the one designated to kiss his head?

So who was the one designated to kiss his head? Gary Neville said he was frightened to death when the ball was in the air because of Barthez's weakness in this area of his game.Viewed by some as a clown and an eccentric figure but he made over 450 appearances in his career and played for France nearly 90 times.
