I THink we need another special winger and hence we being linked with shurlle perhaps? Wilf can now fit into the team with such a player as shurlle as can play striker quite well.

We need another cm. our three played through the pain barriers to stay in the ring this season. So another cm is vital

A right back is essential to either upgrade on ward to compete with obi wan, or ward needs to sign up asap

Hoping to see the Guaita deal finalise soon too

1st July.

Turns out it was Japan, and it's what our top 4 earners plus Mutch would be on collectively. £431K per week!

Not a bad guess though...

From playing for Barcelona to ending up at a Japanese team almost no one knows. Next thing you know he'll be s***ting himself on the pitch at the World Cup...

Since Cabaye is getting older and can't play a full game (still has a positive impact on the team though), Puncheon was out of form then injured, RLC is gone, the only useful Center mids we have are Mili, Cabaye & McArthur.

Looking only at the teams that are getting relegated I feel we should try to get

1. Joe Allen: More skilled than any mid we've had lately

2. Nacer Chadli/Clucas : Taller versions of McArthur with better ball control.

3. Shaqiri/Choupo Moting: Either one would be a great addition on the wing.

4. J.Ayew/ J.Rodriguez/ Rondon: If were able to sell Beneteke for a decent amount I'd get 2 new strikers in, these are just the options from the relegated teams although I don't rate any of these strikers that highly I'd pick Ayew or Rodriguez if we keep Benteke.

Zaha Ayew Shaqiri
Chadli Allen
Milivojevic
PVA Sakho Tomkins WanBiss
Cavalieri

Bench: Townsend, Benteke, Clucas, McArthur, Kelly, Schlupp, Riedewald, Henny, SorMixaLoth, Dann, Ward, Cabaye? Puncheon? Wickham?

You'll note the time of the post..it transpired that from that date he improved greatly..so that leaves us ONE good left back..and very little back up. So i'm confused you see that as an area we're well served. i would however completely agree that we have probably two other areas (mid and keeper) which would take precedence.

It’s ok to admit you were wrong.

From memory so was everyone else as he was roundly castigated by almost everyone here for his poor performances earlier in the season

(Merge if this has been done before)

I feel like we need 2 quality players for every position.
Currently we have, for a 442:

Benteke/Sorloth
Zaha/Wickham

???/Sako
Cabaye/McArthur
Milivojevic/Riedewald
Townsend/???

Van Aanholt/Schlupp
Tomkins/Kelly
Sakho/Dann
Wan Bissaka/Ward

Guaita (assumed)/Hennessey

Given Dann's injury, I'd like to see another backup CB, as well as a first team quality attacking midfielder for both wings (Schurrle & Antonio?)

Whether or not another CB is needed depends on your opinion of Jach I suppose, but I've no idea how close he is to the 1st team, if anyone could enlighten me?

That gives us 2 maybe 3 targets for the summer in my opinion, assuming Zaha is fully converted to a striker, and Wickham is able to stay fit.

What are peoples thoughts?

Sako going on a free. Definatley need a winger or two if Zaha is going up front, leaves with just Townsend.

That would need a miracle in itself to happen regrettably...

A quote from Ron Noades:

"Every manager says they require 2-3 more signings"

Saw it in the "90 minute manager".

"Everything is air-droppable at least once."

"When the going gets tough, the tough call for close air support."

Based on us selling Benteke as I just don’t see him ever being a perfect fit for us.

1. Iheanacho - £20m (Leicester get there money back and he gets game time as first choice)
. TFM - Loan - good cover.
2. Ibrahim Amadou - £10m (he wanted to join us in Jan, even tried to force the move through - CB/DM would provide good cover.
3. Michail Antonio - £15m (as cover for Andros and Wilf)
4. Stuart Armstrong - £5m (can’t go wrong at that price)
5. Wiltshire - £5m plus Bentekes wages.

Above is assuming all our key players we need to sign extensions do sign.
