If we can keep the spirit from the last two games
If Benteke gets his shooting boots back
If we have neutral refs for the remainder of the season
3 big ifs but 2 out of three and we survive, all 3 and we should stay up and 1 out of three leaves us needing a bit of luck. We will stay up which will mean that the old stand becomes the new short(ish)ly and hopefully it won't be groundhog day again at the next window.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I posted earlier in this thread that if I had to put my life on it I would say we will go down.
However - the game on Monday showed that with a just a few more players back - even just Wilf that we might just stand a chance!
Against us is that we are running out of games and we really need another 11 points - 3 wins and 2 draws from 9 games and we are unlikely (not impossible mind) to get those from Chelsea and Liverpool (I have to miss that game grrrr!).
Also current form is poor but we are still not shipping goals really - we just cannot score many (and yet we score 2 the other night and still lose)!
So if you like 11 points from 7 games.
Forget the first 7 games this season and we have averaged 1.32 points per game which if that replicates itself to the end should mean (and you have to include Chelse and L'Pool) that we end up with the 11 points we need.
It is in the lap of the Gods isn't it.
With a bit of luck, Wilf back and the spirit we showed on Monday night we might just make it!

Reasons to be optimistic:
Excellent support, great team spirit, Zaha and Sakho back to fitness, and some 'easier' games to come.

Reasons to be pessimistic:
Lack of ball control, there is no substitute for skill. No constructive midfielders. Unbalanced attack
and haphazard defence where we cannot hold out in the last few minutes. If this failing continues the team spirit will sag after so much effort for so little results.

I'd say we have a 50-50 chance.
