Returning to the serious part of the debate, Rakip played for Malmo and hasn't played for Benfica since he was transferred at the end of the Swedish season - the Swedish season ends in early November.
You misunderstand; it was more a commentary on your helpful addition of f*** all. Too often on these boards people who haven't heard of players until quite recently and have never seen them play simply make no mention of this. I surely cannot be alone in oft fretting into the early hours "Have those undeclared not heard of them until quite recently nor have ever seen them play or not???". Hopefully more posters can follow your lead and we can start to ease our shared state of confused anxiety.

I'll have to go with Roy on this one. Never heard of him. Yes for sure but that's based on the overpriced English league market place. There are some fantastic players on the continent, often much better than those in England and at a fraction of the price. The problem with English football and English fans is that the price of a player reflects how good he will play where in fact it's just media money like SKY that has over inflated the price of 'known' players who play in the English leagues. It is strange how harmless comments attract such ordure.A one-liner causing a furore - which was followed by other comments in response to a post.Dear me.

How many us knew a lot about Luka Milivojević before we signed him?? Not all good players in the world cost 40 million.

Bit disappointing really. An anagram gift, you'd think, yet I only have 'a pardre lik', which is jusr woeful. Hopefully Roy'll snap up Harry Scoitum next. Edited by Eustace H. Plimsoll (22 Jan 2018 7.18pm)

Edited by europalace (22 Jan 2018 7.00pm) A lot of it is to do with prem money not filtering down the divisions below so they have to maximise the sale price. Those European players can sometimes be better and cheaper (see above) is because they get top level, first team experience earlier because of the money and pressure of prem results. But carry on not being to help or stop yourself thinking Europe is just better.

Sorry. I wasn’t sure what paperwork they mentioned on radio - just took a guess. Had it in the back of my mind that it was something along the lines of visas/work permits etc. It is a minefield not sure that International Clearance is relevant. That is why many Brazilian's take out Italian nationality (through Grandparents) to enable them to play in Europe. I believe Gus Pooyet who played for Chile has a Spanish passport
