The teams that are seemingly in decline have mostly sold their best players. We haven't. It's a false comparison. By rights we should be doing much better than them now and into the future. It would be a massive failure if they stay up and we don't or even if we end up below them considering.

Beg to differ.
We've sold Jedinak, Bolaise, Gayle, and Murray to name but four. And still we're going strong.

But it has not changed one week in to the transfer window, little activity, if any, no plans or forward thinking we have known for sometime now that the squad depth is weak, there seems to be no pre-window planning or negotiating, decision making is as slow as ever, so really no significant improvement in that department for the last five years!

He bought the club, turned his hand to the football side of things, with help obviously and he has made some huge mistakes - not backing Dougie when another club came calling.
Giving holloway free reign over the summer for our first season back in top flight - some of those dealings were shocking.
Got screwed over by Pulis, but ultimately you can see why - he didn't back his manager and allow him to do his style/way.
Sold a couple of key players to early - you can argue hindsight, but a lot of us weren't happy.
Pardew should have gone a lot sooner - cup final saved him.
Summer of 2017 - the hype around FDB, cringe worthy in hindsight - Parish was blinded by it all.

It's safe to say a DOF is what's needed and let him do his job, with Parish signing cheques.

Are you really a Palace Fan.?
Talk about trying to find fault.
Talk to some Blackburn,Sunderland or Birmingham Fans.
Now they have cause to complain.
Be careful what you wish for.

I stopped reading after this.

There was huge pressure to sack Dougie after the start to that season, especially after the Bristol City game. Instead, Parish backed him, brought in the players he wanted and also offered him a new contract when Bolton came calling.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

And to add Dougie has since said himself it was a mistake to leave , but we shouldn’t let the facts get in the way of him spouting bollocks lol. All chairman make mistakes , they key is rectifying them and making more good than bad , which Parish does.

Cute reply - firstly, not wishing for anything, secondly, what i spoke about is my opinion, not fact, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors - if we did, there would be no need for discussion - but based on what i have seen, it's obvious Parish is learning.

Now, don't get me wrong, we all gotta learn and we all make mistakes - but at the cost of a premier league position - no thanks. He should have had a DOF from the get go - it's like a restaurant owner selling up and buying a zoo - you gotta be realistic.

Anyways, opinions are what make things interesting right.
Now, think about what i said again, you don't think
