Probably because they don't want to be associated with the people who have adopted this as a 'new issue' who just happen to have a whole raft of policies and bans that coincidently only affect Muslims.

Back in the 80s and 90s, animal rights activists were very vocal about Halal and Kosher slaughter. Strangely the right wing never had much interest, until Muslims became the new blacks.

It establishes that truth is as subjective as any experience.

Facts aren't truth, they're evidence of the truth. I think, being a scientist by background, and a rationalist, that only evidence has value. Opinion and supposition, are meaningless.

Well, of course, all this is true but it's all a jury has to go on and all humans can rely on in general. The philosophy or scientific reality of truth is not helpful when trying to see the wood from the trees.

It's a slippery slope of accepting religious nuttery to pander to immigrants. A very very bad idea.

Its a very slippery slope to accept the vilification of minorities in society, based on generalisations.

Problem is, that all these people who only seem to have become aware of the suffering of animals in slaughter due to the Halal aspect.

Of course, they are right in this aspect, and the whole meat production process is unnecessary and morally indefensible.

But unsurprisingly, people aren't too keen on being associated with the rising far right.

The jury don't decide on truth, they have reasonable doubt.

Its not, according to people who have been rescued from drowning, its incredibly painful way to die. The mistake I think is that people are thinking its like slow asphyxia (over hours) which is apparently fairly peaceful, as the body slowly shuts down due to lack of oxygen over a long period of time - and the individual loses consciousness long before the physical pain of oxygen deprivation sets in.

For the record, a overdoes of drugs like heroin, which is a painkiller, does seem to be a remarkably pleasant way to die - It generally causes the loss of consciousness before the organs slow to a stop.

Thanks. I understand them even less now!

Let's try and at least have some accuracy.

This is a very upside down way of looking at it. You are basically saying that it's OK or to be tolerated because some people who object to it just don't like Muslims. That is illogical. You are also as good as admitting that people ignore the very distasteful aspects of Islam because they are scared to be accused of 'racism' or seen to be agreeing with so called racists.

Everything some have been saying for years.

Pedantry. You swear to tell the 'truth' so the 'truth' is what the jury hear.
Your logic suggests that nothing is true or untrue.

Not much use in the real world.....or is it?
