If he does go, could quite well see him at Everton. Beyond them I can't see anybody willing to stump up the cash that we would be thinking about in Jan.

The press quotes Chelski too as cover. They are the only two that would splash the sort of money that would make the deal acceptable

We're too static with Benteke on top. Need a Andy Johnson type of striker that is more involved in the game - Tekkers mostly behave like a conductor in a symphoni orchestra. Too much arm waiving....Would really love 2 new strikers in January for money we get for CB.

No Thank you. There's obviously a reason he's not playing at Bournemouth...

Yes,Yes, Yes, we should sell him - but who on earth would buy? Lazy, uninterested, not capable of putting even big opportunities away. Is not going to score half the goals Murray (or Gayle) are going to score this season. Gabbiadini, Taylor, Kuqi, Akinbiyi, Benteke - all expensive and useless. Ladopa or Kaikai cannot possible do worse

Benteke played under Pardew in a very dark period. Whatever he did then doesn't count. Then Allardyce REALLY brought out the player we thought we'd bought. Then de Boer, then injury. Now here we are and he's coming back from injury. I think we'll see continuous improvement. But a lack of movement will always be a draw back with big Ben. But he can and will be more of a bully.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Let's sell Benteke on the basis of:

1) Scoring a lot of the goals that kept us in the Prem last season ... he hit double figures which is no mean feat in a struggling side ...
2) We do not have any other striker options so yeah let's sell the 1 striker we have ... genius that!
3) He is still coming back from an injury so clearly not firing on all cylinders just yet ...
4) The whole team has been pony up until a few weeks back but let's just scapegoat CB
5) He is out of form and low on confidence, but it happens ... get over it!

And had 7 outa 10 from advertiser today!

How on earth you can compare Benteke with the others.

Gayle is not a premier league striker and never will be . His record against Benteke record is inferior.

Murray was a mistake selling him we all know that. Murray would have been a useful squad member but not the answer.

Benteke will come good.

Ladopa and Kaikai are not the answer either.

Bonkers.

We should sell Benteke if:

a) We are accepting relegation and wanting to minimise our losses by selling players who are too good for the Championship in January - before the summer fire sale.

b) We need to sell him to free up some cash to buy others.

c) We get an offer too good to resist.

None of these reasons are anything to do with Benteke's ability. We have a much better chance of staying up if we keep him, and buy a plan B striker.

I didn't go to WBA, but I actually thought that Benteke was immense against Brighton. I don't think he lost a header all night and the chance in the 14th minute came from a nice little move that started with him winning a header, and Zaha picking up the knock down.

We need Benteke back up to speed (the Brighton match was his first full match back from injury), and we need the team to work out how to give him the best service again.

We are off the bottom of the table now. We have caught West Ham and Swansea - and we are starting to reel in teams like Huddersfield and Newcastle above us - there is no need to wobble on about any of our players.
