It's not a discussion, he imposes his own opinion on you time and time again. It never varies, it doesn't add anything productive, and he never considers that he might be wrong. We could be having a good debate about how long Niasse should be banned for on the basis that he cheated the ref and it directly altered the result.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I am of the impression that HOL is a place where members can express their honest opinions and as such stimulate debate and discussion. As for some of the ridiculous allegations on here regarding my supposed past misdemeanours , I shall not dignify them with a response.

To think the correct decision would have been no penalty and a yellow card for Niasse. Which then would have meant he'd have received his marching orders before Speroni had any chance to get up to his antics! This is one of those moments in football that you have to try and put behind you but my god it irks! In the upcoming games I look forward to seeing us being awarded non-penalties, scoring deflected 90th minute winners and the opposition missing open goals. That'd make me feel a little better

I think, the very fact that the PL is even considering bringing in video reviews is sufficient evidence that they believe too many contentious issues are being missed by the refs. Slightly different angle to the contention that the refs are poor, just that they are missing important moments, perhaps because of the pace of the game and being incorrectly positioned. This is a straightforward choice for me, I am firmly in the camp of video evidence although I would temper this by saying it is only necessary where a goal is likely to be scored, has been scored or a penalty is disputed. In the case of Niasse, it would be a simple, the ref would say, "I saw contact on Niasse from my position, firstly penalty or no penalty. Secondly, was the contact the cause of the player going to ground." This would not have taken long to resolve and the answer would have been, " No penalty, Niasse went to ground without any contact to his legs and minor contact to the upper body". Yellow card for Niasse for simulation, free kick to Palace. I would add to this that if Niasse had gone down without any contact whatsoever then this should be a red card for simulation. An alternative solution to the ref issue is to play the game as they do with basketball, with a leading ref in front of the game and a trailing ref behind the game. Either ref can make the call and if they have a difference of opinion then they discuss it before making their decision.

Well I guess it's obvious what we are thinking that the Niasse goal cannot stand ???? So 2-1 to Palace. Points please FA. This could run and run why bother going to the game in that case etc.

Personally I recon there's more chance either of those get relegated than Everton so the ban is actually BAD for Palace. Shambles if you ask me. Cheat points from us and then ban a striker from playing against our relagation rivals..... f***ing hell, thanks!

And how does a ban help the team who's lost the points. Court action would show that only removing the cheated goal and points can rectify the situation. Diving would stop over night..... Although, it's never gonna happen.
