And again two weeks later Originally posted by Rudi Hedman
Managing Ajax is a different world to palace. It looks like he is flexible vs the bigger teams but he could do with a word in his ear about how possession based football went t1ts up under Pardew, even though Frank looks about 3 leagues higher in terms of tactical nous.

And again two weeks later I said Ajax is a different world to Palace didn't I? If you look you'll see I wanted one of the others, but you're not going to dig for those. As I said, you had to come round, from our 'negative views', and believe me I couldn't believe we'd bolloxed up on all 3, to the positive thinking with those posting articles on Frank's methods. If you read the Frank philosophy thread you'll see my 'concerns.' If they weren't discussed and fears put to rest at interview then I struggle to see beyond one direction who's responsible. Changing philosophy and to 3-4-3 couldn't happen with our budget. I said that over and over but you keep trying to turn someone trying to be positive about someone we've ended up with into me wanting him. Oh yeah, I remember saying countless times we were letting Southampton choose our manager when we should settle for a safe pair of hands in Sean Dyche. I also said we'd both end up with the wrong one. I said plenty of this enough but you can keep trying to spin me as pro Frank when his leftfield hiring cost me season ticket values in winnings.

I'm fed up reading how only bexleydave and yourself called this one right at the time. I do remember bd casting doubts but you actually posted on 9th June in the huge "new manager" thread that "I have no opinion of De Boer tbh" We've been down here before. Frank either lied and Parish was otherwise busy on holiday to lean over his shoulder or Parish made a fatal error in thinking the plans Frank had would be deliverable. I remember being pretty negative and down about it and being told to brighten up about it. Many a time I've said Bexleydave had posted what I agree with.

Not so. I have you marked down as a hindsight engineer rewriting history at the same time Well you're talking shyte then without reading the philosophy and other strategy stuff. That was plain to see it was flawed if he didn't take things gradually. I had that gradually issue/lie debate before and all you come up with is nobody knows. May as well close the forum if that's the case. Frank either lied and Parish didn't get confident assurances not too much would change too soon or he thought it was possible and is responsible at interview stage. But you closed down that.

Read my reply to laddo on June 22nd. Earlier that day, midday: 'Everything I read says de Boer is suited to Southampton but because Pellegrino is Argentinian like Pochettino they want him instead. That is the main reason. Very odd. We're both going to end up with someone not best suited or suited best to the other club.' In reply to Blackeagle that morning saying we'd play more expensive and exciting football: 'Which again begs the question why are Southampton going for Pellegrino? I get the feeling we're both going to end up with the wrong man just because someone there wants another Pochettino/Argentinian.'

June 20th 1235pm: 'Hopefully they make the right one for them and choose de Boer. It will be truly bizarre if we both end up with the man suited better to the other team.' Edited by Rudi Hedman (27 Oct 2017 7.51pm)

Edited by Rudi Hedman (27 Oct 2017 7.51pm) I'm struggling to think of a team that would thrive in the face of the sort of s*** that de Boer served up. Rangers maybe?

19th June 11.29am: 'Quite simply a dof will make his Job monumentally easier. Then when we have a manager his job gets even easier. Sorry to state the obvious but it needs saying.' 12.56pm: 'Seems as though Pellegrino suits our current style more and Frank DB suits Southampton more and we're relying on Southampton to make the right choice. If the opposite happens it'll definitely be mentioned everywhere if both don't deliver to expectations.' Edited by Rudi Hedman (27 Oct 2017 8.07pm)

15th June 8.26pm: 'Should've phoned Silva's agent the day or 2 after Sam resigning. Didn't. Went to Watford when I don't buy this case of we couldn't get him if we really wanted. Parish didn't, fair enough, but what do we have now then? Should've had Pellegrino. Delayed action again. Now he's a possible for Southampton. At this rate Hodgson will probably take a job at Whyteleafe before we scrape the bottom of the barrel for him. We'll then be phoning Warnock again. Getting it right us one thing. Delaying your decision so they're possibly or actually going elsewhere is another thing. All this delaying on everything will screw us one day.'

Key this one. 15th June, 8.31pm. Bexleydave: 'Surely, after all this time, we've not been reduced to begging Ranieri to take the job? If true, it would seem we've been torpedoed by Southampton entering the market. Those that were so confident that there was loads of time, because we were the only game in town, are looking just a tad foolish now. We should have had this buttoned up and nailed down a week ago.' I reply: 'Yep. I used to defend all this delaying of everything but in the past couple of years I haven't because it'll be a false economy, which is normally what it's over, although I think this is again just because everything else is delayed for so long and ends up okay in the end. What when it doesn't and it's blatantly obvious why? Pardew's sacking too late? Got lucky again there.' Edited by Rudi Hedman (27 Oct 2017 8.38pm)
