Women's sport is a good thing....but it's not for me. I'm content for manly patriots like you to watch it. Not quite sure what my London-based bro-in-law has to do with women's football but if he were visiting i am sure he would like to watch. He does like his sport and is a kendo national champion.

Seconded. Women's football has its place but I object to this attitude that I should like it. It's being promoted heavily, far more in excess to its popularity.....because people in leadership positions think we should like it. I do especially like the kind where the kit is painted on.

It's poor football, bit like the Scottish Premiership. We just have to pretend it is important. The coverage of it does not represent the real level of interest. An odd thing to say on a Palace website. Football full stop is not important. As for the coverage, are you sure its not represented at a level of interest. Its generally relegated to the fill in sport, and the channels that don't have live football. That said, the it could be said of non-premiership football, is massively under represented. Also golf, who the f**k is wanting to watch golf on TV?

Barbie-do....the female version is very interesting to watch....In their version they use handbags instead of sticks....very striking....only a matter of weeks before the BBC do a documentary on it.

I have watched a couple of the games and have to say I was impressed by the standard of football, apart from the goalkeeping which seems to be pretty poor (has Wayne had a sex test?). Totally agree with you on golf. Edited by hedgehog50 (24 Sep 2017 5.42pm)

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Skill wise as good as Conference level for the top teams like Man City Ladies but they would still be bullied to defeat at that level as it stands. I'll watch the national team or some Euro/WC games but don't kid yourself that it's only the physical side of the game where they're deficient. The Aussie women's team, ranked 6, lost 7-0 when they played an U15 boys team last year. The USA, ranked number 1, lost 5-2 to Dallas U15s earlier this year.

I'll ignore what I saw with my own eyes at Wembley and Man City Ladies. Thanks for the heads-up.

I have played football with a former England female international. She wasn't fit in fairness but was average at best. That said. Old Sampson was proper stitched up, wasn't he. Had a six-month relationship with an adult player in a former job and got the sack for it. Yeah right. What is the world coming to?

Watching them play against other women doesn't enable you to make a comparison to them playing against male teams/players, which you did. Ignore the facts of two international teams, who are better and far more established than the team you gave, and who got beaten by boys.
