This: Terrible appointment, rapidly realised and rectified. Parish deserves stick for the bad choice, but praise for being prepared to admit his mistake and take the c**p directed at him for the sacking. We've dodged a bullet. Time to back Roy. Good article with which I concur (as Willo would say).

Looks as tough FDB got the bullet at Inter for the exact same reasons as Palace. Those behaviours are exactly the same as those that reportedly saw his tenure terminated here. He does seem to be an extremely arrogant and rather strange man who has very little in the way of interpersonal skills. There's a lot more to managing people than having a "philosophy".

So if Delaney is a trouble maker why was he given a contract extension. Surely not for his playing abilities Parish would never have agreed the extension if he really was poisonous. He may well voice opinions on behalf of the squad but, guess what, that's exactly what is expected of the senior professionals Funnily enough, I was told by a Tractor Boy that he was released from Ipswich for similar reasons when we first signed him. Apparently, Damo had become disillusioned with football & it was showing in training and in the dressing room. this change in attitude was very sudden. His intention was to retire from the game & return to Ireland but we convinced him to have a trial period with us. The rest, as they say, is history.

I was told by someone that it all began in a lap-dancing club in Detroit. After initially providing details of the girls FdB wanted to dance with, he started to exhibit signs of intoxication. FdB starts racking up costs with multiple dancers, and playing them completely out of position. He then embarrasses the girls by showing how much better a player he is, than them
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Maybe, but on the other hand there has been one contant over the last 4 and bit season in PL where SP has meddled to much in football matters and transfers and frankly he is not very good at either and then there is his poor people management to consider and ass reflected in the number of managers that have come and gone in that time and the money wasted in paying up contracts!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Actually he is doing it all himself, I acknowledge that he with other saved us in 2010 for which I'm grateful but that is the past and since we have been in the PL, this time, I'm afraid he has not covered himself in glory and is quickly making the club unattractive to both players and quality managers, we are fortunate to have Roy even if he is 70+, but you cannot deny we are in this position due to the poor decision of SP!

You seem to forget there are two Americans on the board as well so all decisions are made by THREE people not just SP on his own so don't be too quick to blame all this on SP as the media are at the moment. Also there are too many so called ex players on Sky and radio putting their in oar in at the same time.

However as far as I'm concerned the bad decisions are in the main SP making for example he has meddled in team affairs by telling managers how to play, some of the transfer decisions were his and were bad from day one Sako is a good example he had a doggy medical history before Wolves as well at Wolves and yet he signed him and he has hardly played since he arrived. The same can be said of Tomkins and Wickham, they had a history of injury problems and can hardly string more than one or two games in succession without then spending most of the season in the sick bay. Then there is the succession of managers, which is sadly affecting the teams performance and stability, the abysmal home record of just 26 wins from 78 homes games in PL is another example and since you mentioned the Americans, who brokered the deal with them SP of course! all I want is for our team to be better tomorrow and thereafter than it has been in the past, so please don't shoot the messenger!
