Talksport say Roy might be appointed sometime today.

I feel ashamed being a Palace fan today.

No manager should be sacked arfter four games.

We are a bloody laughing stock.

So if we get beat by Saints, Man utd,man City and Chelsea does the next manager get sacked also ?

Fair point but 3 out of those 4 we expect to get nothing, 3 out of 4 of our past games the other way round.

If Roy has his head screwed on he will park the bus for 90 mins playing a 5-4-1 and gain the first point of the season, doing in one game what FDB couldn't do in four.

Difference between Roy Hodgson and FDB , is very similar to Sam Allardyce and FDB .
Hodgson and Allardyce have immense Premier League experience
FDB had none
Hodgson will play to the players strengths and get their confidence back
It will be the best thing EVER to happen tho Zaha , he will be given complete freedom to roam
Defensively we will need help , because Roy isn't that great at the back
All in all its not a bad appointment
We all know I detested FDB after Huddersfield and he should have gone after that game . So now at least Im happy .

Will probably get shot down for this but I think
Roy and with hopefully Ray Lewington and Sammy Lee on the coaching staff we will get back to playing how Palace play.

There is clearly lots going on behind the scenes and regardless of Sunday FDB just wasn't a fit for Palace and yep
SP in wanting to move us forward got blinded by the lure of total football and made the bad mistake of this appointment.

With Sakho , Wilf and RBC to return the future is bright and thankfully not orange.

I'm not arguing with your perfectly reasoned post, Croydonlad, but the bit in bold made me chuckle. Presumably this is the same Zaha who didn't get a look-in for England under Hodgson, when the team was crying out for something new (need I say more than 'witness the Iceland perfomance'?)?

What is the Palace way? Seriously? I keep hearing this, but no one defines it.

I have seen us play direct, hoof-ball, short passing, attacking, defensive and counter-attacking football: and as for formations we have played: 5-3-2, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-4-3, 4-5-1, etc.

So, what is it?

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

A bit like Have I got News for you perhaps have a different manager a week. That way Parish may get the opportunity he craves and sit in the dug out.

Could that include 'Brucie'? (Think about it...)

The managerial equivalent to f***ing your cousin 😀

For some an attractive option, but certainly much better options out there

Well a mate of mine went to a wedding a good few years back and met a cousin he didn't know he had. Linda Lusardi!

Do you know, I have been thinking for a while you could be Roy Hodgson's HOL persona, welcome Roy. We wish you big success.

Except that this is Palace so someone will make a stupid mistake and give away a goal.
