There were reasons for that - Pardew passed on an unfit undisciplined side for which Allardyce got them into a fitter organised team in those early matches which finally kicked in and kept us up. Plus Sakho eventually was match fit to start for us. Our new manager seems to have taken us back to the Pardew days rather than taking us forward from when Allardyce left us - It's back to the drawing board and it's going to be even harder with zero points (my prediction) after 8 matches for someone to turn this around? With negativity like this I can sort of understand Simonmdt's thread.

Difference being the defence playing again without Sakho... Defence. Shocking under Pardew, Sam and De Boer. All without Sakho. Coincidence?

We have Benteke, Wickham, Zaha. Hmmmm.... That's debatable... The guy is hardly ever available.. Comes back for a handful of games before getting either injured or suspended... Waste of money for me. Zaha isn't a striker.. May of played there as a kid but let's be realistic he's not a striker. We have one striker... Really not good enough.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Hes crap You have a different agenda; calling for FdB to be sacked after one game (the Huddersfield one), how can anyone take your views seriously. He should be given more time and you to stop posting constant negative crap which serves only to damage the team which, I believe is actually your intentions.

We have Benteke, Wickham, Zaha. Wickham, are you kidding. Is he ever available for starters? This is his 3rd. season at Palace. 29 appearances, 7 goals. Great return for the 7 million or so we paid for him! Zaha is not a striker either, better off going with Lapado, he's at least available and shows promise.

Whatever you may think about FDB, the fact remains that we have entered our 5th consecutive season in the PL with only one recognised striker and a goalkeeping issue that remains unresolved once again. Results/performance wise it's FDB that carries the can but he's had little support from Parish in the transfer market.
