And why would he want to come to us right now when Huddersfield are everything we are not.
They have a plan, they have players to implement that plan, they have energy and commitment and a Club that is as one.
Right now I am sad to say that my beloved Palace have none of that.

And their fans buy into that vision. Our fans don't like anything if it's not "KEEP IT COMPACT AND HIT THEM ON THE FACCCKING BREAK!"

Despite the fact that "palace way" has left us needing a relegation saviour every single season since we've promoted, barring one where we went onto have the worst record in English football in a calendar year.

Ah, they will say, but we were mid table under Sam...

Which of course ignores the fact that we scored 0.85 points per game under him without Sahko in the team (despite 30m in transfers), and only got 1 win in our last 5.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

I'll ask the same question I did on the 'in or out vote' thread - if we sack FDB now, or even after 1 more loss, what decent manager is going to want to come to a club that sacks managers after 3 or 4 games, having not backed them in the transfer market? We will be attractive to no-one but the most desperate failures.

That's an easy fix on football manager, you just create a new player profile and save the game. Problem solved, just like real life.

If I was a manager and I heard the fans booing every time we don't hoof the ball in hope of it ricocheting off Bentekes head, that would be enough for me to know it's definitely not an attractive prospect.

My point is, that is a great deal of the problem. And if you look at the team without Sahko, we are relegation certs even when playing what many think is the best set up for the team.

Benteke is never going to adapt to any system not involving balls being winged to his nut , maybe we should have played to his strength, making subtle changes , he gets 10 or more goals by next transfer window, offload him for say £50 mill, use the money to get in the players FDB wants or suit the system . It's clear the money is not about at the moment. Also haven't Palace always played get it up there football apart from a brief time around 1978 to 1980

Frank and Parish meet today according to the times and the mirror.

Play 4 at the back or let's end it here?

It's not him, never has been and never will be. That's not to say he isn't a good player because he's one of the best in the world at what he does but he isn't the guy who's gonna grab the bull by the horns and change things for us. To do the business, Benteke either needs to be playing in a good team (i.e. A Belgium or Liverpool where he had the highest goal ratio despite popular belief) or a team that use him as the main vocal point (Villa, Sams Palace). Again, that isn't the sign of a bad player - there are plenty of players in the world highly renowned who wouldn't be half the player they are without their team around them, and I still think we're lucky to have Benteke, but when our level of performances are this low Benteke isn't gonna be the guy to win games for us on his own.

Staying up for 5 seasons?

Frank did change it at HT at 1-0 but also had ward still on at LB and he takes off PVA. PVA played shyte at LWB just passing the ball back or sideways but that was LWB and not LB. He should've been kept on with an option out wide. Or was it some Dutch lesson treatment for not obeying instructions? Pretty poor if so. Another player played out of position, unnecessarily as well, again.
