I agree with all this except for the one point - highlighted. I think you'll find most people (except Pardew) were arguing for a decent replacement last August rather than hindsight and we got ... Flamini, who never played!!

On the few occasions Flamini played with Cabaye we looked good in midfield. Problem was the Ledley and MacArthur aren't really very good defensive midfielders, they like to get forward too much (I like MacArthur, but he's more an all round midfielder).

And Cabaye doesn't have the power to be a defensive midfielder.

With the budget only 30m. Is it time to sell Jimmy mac and dann to raise another 15m.

It would cost far more to replace them than selling them would bring in. It depends whether the manager rates them, of course, and whether they fit into the way he wants to play, but you're not going to buy better premier league players for the money they would bring in, and untested players from abroad can be hit and miss; some work, but plenty of others don't (see West Ham's recent signings for example).

Continuity has it's merits, and change for change's sake doesn't make too much sense from a player morale point of view. I'd say keep both of them, at least until January and see what the new manager can bring to the team until then.

MacArthur would be in my side ahead of Puncheon who's game really is in decline IMO.

Not IMO.
Both unlucky to lose there starting 11 positions.
See what Frank does.

Totally agree ^^^^^

I used to love Punch's free kicks (better than Cabaye imo) and when he played out wider.

Now my heart just sinks when he had the ball.

Puncheon isn't leaving anytime soon. Unless Cabaye leaves. We need to recoup some funds dann and mcarthur can do this.

I would accept any bid of 7.5 mill onwards, one year left on contract, has been poor for a long time.

Exactly. I personally sell dann too. Get some younger blood in the line up.

You are actually mental. The kid in sweet shop behaviour just doesn't stop with you. Do you buy a new car every month by any chance? I say keep benteke and zaha coz they're alright, but sell everyone else replacing them with upgrades. Simple

Upgrades on these two will not be as easy to find as you're suggesting.

What is your problem pal. If you don't like what written on here ignore. We haven't all got Scott dann posters on the wall like you. All I seen from your post is argumentative posts about people comment. This threads about opinions and suggestions. If that not for you, then maybe you should stop reading hol.
