Why would he want yet another prolonged relegation battle he may quit while ahead with his reputation secured and a good retirement with no financial problems.

Always has to be a few buzzkillers....

I doubt Sam will leave. Even if he did, who would take charge?

Remember West Ham sacked BS but he was adamant he had decided to leave anyway.

It is a choice to be made by him not Palace fans.

Think he should sign a extension to his contract personally think his done a great job considering where we were when he took over get a couple of signing in the summer and we go again next season we need to be more consistent next season and really end up top 10 that's what we should be aiming for every season

Woooo. Where do you get off on that. We are going to be at the top of the second group next season, my guess would be 6th or 7th. No way we will be in the relegation group. Have you seen the team? Remember any of the recent games (Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, narrow loss to Spurs). Your negativity is unbelievable, especially on a day like today. Happiness vampire.

I thought it was 18 months but Wikipedia has it as 2 and a half years so runs out June 2019. Maybe see how 1st half of next season goes with possible transfers etc and if good then offer an extension.

I think Sam will stay; he would have even stayed at Sunderland if England hadn't come calling. He won't go to a big club (they won't have him) and most other teams wouldn't be a step up. He realises he has a decent squad here which only needs a bit of tweaking to be a comfortably performing midtable side.

With him in charge, I doubt we will be facing relegation.
