Yes we could lose both and Benteke get injured. But we were going to lose to Chelsea and Arsenal. So we could win both with Remy coming on and scoring. Unlikely but possible. Yes we have a bad run in, but have 7 points from 4 awkward games.

Swansea have Man Utd and Everton. Difficult games.

And if we go down, we go down. It's not the end if the world. I've seen us up and down more times than a whores knickers.

What will be will be.

I think we'll have enough in the locker to get us safe. Think the same mate. It's less stressful!

I can understand the panic and desperation, we're palace after all and nothing comes easy. We also have a great record for teams to break ducks at. It's why I wish Burnley had won a game away before next week. You can almost feel it coming now.

But... being overly negative, particularly from the stands isn't helpful. The reality is that with a focused mindset from players and fans we can get out of this. Our run in has been dire. However, we've beaten Chelsea and Arsenal in that time. That is mental! Strictly speaking we should be on 29 points and well in the brown stuff. However, those games proved we can get bonus points from top sides. I'd take 1 from our next 2 ahead of Burnley in a heart beat!

So yes, be nervous and allow those nerves to tackle complacency. I remember Ipswich at home all those years ago and absolutely understand why people will only celebrate when we're actually mathematically safe. What we shouldn't do is be resigned to relegation. We're in a terrific position considering the teams we've had to play. Keep the faith!

Win today and draw on Wednesday or vica versa and we're above Stoke. So if they are on the beach, so would we be? But I bet not to some of the pessimists on here. Crikey I remember Oldham too well, but our current form suggests will get another win. Personally another point I think will be enough. Swansea won a winnable game. I suspect they'll lose at Old Trafford and at most get a point from Everton.

It seems to a few on here we're going to lose every remaining game! It's possible but on current form unlikely.

And Willo everything is so negative. I've heard of a glass half full but you're looking upon as if we're doomed already. Would you rather be in our position or Swansea's?

I'm backing us to score a fare few goals today. I think we'll get something from the game.

As Willo said though we are still in a hell of a relegation fight!

Am I missing something? Are we not still just two good home results against Burnley and Hull away from safety?

It seems to me that we have played ourselves into the driver's seat in the relegation scrap. Swansea and Hull are doing well but Burnley should be more worried than us.

Reasons to be cheerful, good cause to be anxious.

Quite possibly, but we haven't got those results as yet. Obviously we are in a better position than both Swansea and Hull, but I'm not sure why Burnley should be any more concerned than we should be.

Yes, but nor has anyone else.

The only reason Burnley should be concerned is because of form. Look at the attached [Link] If you go back to week 24, after we had just lost to Sunderland we were 1 point behind Hull and 2 behind Swansea and 10 behind Burnley. We are now 2 ahead of Hull and 4 ahead of Swansea, but only 1 behind Burnley. So whilst we have the form, Burnley don't.

Other omens are that Burnley and Hull's away form is shocking, and there is no reason why a bouncing Selhurst wouldn't see that continuing.

I guess you could also refer to the fact that we are near the bottom of the table on our home form, but that is why statistics are like a broken lamppost!!

As I said, reasons to be cheerful!! Still right to be anxious.

Teams also have a habit of coming to Selhurst and changing their fortunes, ending losing runs, poor away form, goal droughts, etc. I have to admit to not understanding the "broken lamppost" reference.

Yes and both may well win another 2 games each.

That would have them on 37 & 39 points respectively.

As such we might need at least 2 draws.

Hulls last game is against Spurs who by that point may have conceaded the title and be on holiday having wrapped up second place. Where as we play United who may still be battling for fourth.

No way this isn't going to the wire people.

Personally I don't think we're safe without 40 points. 2 draws and a win or two wins please. Sooner rather than later!

CoMe on, really? You don't think we're capable of getting 2 points from our last 6 games. I don't get all the negativity, thd way we've been playing we should be feeling really positive. If we can't get 2 points from our last 6 games I'll be amazed.

Maybe because they've only won 1 of their last 11 games, haven't won away from home all season, play man utd tonight and a resurgent palacentre away on saturday. Reckon they're more concerned than us 😎

Palace odds on relegation halved following the Swansea and Hull wins. Now around 12-1.

Yep - it's not just about Hull and Swansea. Just one point gained and they are below us.
