Just watched motd again. He looked like a different player against Chelsea, good control, strong and a class finish.

agree,
for this, read Frasier Campbell.

Runs about like he's been tasered with little or no success. For years.

Benteke played like Benteke yesterday. No different, yet because we won some claim he's different in some way. Love his intensity and his non stop griping at things he thinks are not done well. Seems very FFS in that department.

I'm not one to jump on Bentekes back, he is a class player but his approach to the game did seem to be a bit different. As soon as he got the ball he was running at players, he needs to do this more. Zaha and him caused all sorts of problems to Chelseas defence.

He's good with the ball at his feet, I'm glad we're mixing it up now.

That goal was sublime. Took the ball down, committed the goalkeeper, then doiked the ball over him as soon as he was on the floor. Perfect.

Was he trying to show his Belgian team mates what he can really do in the PL?

Great word for a great goal.

The international break done us a favour. Came back with the confidence to do that! Against Watford when he had that chance late on he seemed scared.

i'd suggest the difference is the service in to him. I'm sure he would have loved to run more at people for the last three months, hard to do when it's just lumped up to him. He started running at people against Boro and Watford as well, now he just has a bit more confidence.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I'd agree.

indeed, for any striker to do that in the premiership of all leagues and against the likely champs, its only possible from a top marksmen.

IMO, he should be prosecuted for emotional cruelty . . . to Chelsea fans.

Because his shot was such a delicate dink, they had to experience the torture of watching the ball sail - in deliciously slow motion - into the back of their net.

He was superb on Sat. His best game for us. A goal and an assist plus his great play helped set up the late chance for Wilf too
