Perhaps he assumed it was Zaha, took out his card because, after all, the Laws do say that nothing done to Zaha counts as a foul, and then found himself face to face with McArthur whom, in all the years he has been playing for Palace, I have never, ever seen dive.

Like it, that's funny, and just about true.

As for my "Defending", I am NOT a 'defence lawyer' for Madley or any other referee and try to see decisions from the perspective of the man in the middle.

At least I accept that referees make mistakes - seemingly to the majority on here they are expected to be right 100% of the time. Of course I have witnessed many 'Faux Pas' over the years but can understand why mistakes were made.

But you don't accept that - which is the basis for most of the threads on here where you defend any referee (but especially Clattenburg) regardless of the evidence against.

I think he accepts that referees make mistakes. What he doesn't accept is that referees making loads of important mistakes means the referees are f****** s****. He also doesn't accept that the mistakes tend to favour one group of clubs over another, as we have seen yet again today in the EFL Cup Final.

I look at the 'Bigger picture' and I can only re-iterate that a referee can only give what he sees from his angle or vantage point or what he is informed by his assistants. And yes there will be variances with what he/assistant sees and what others see, including the pundits.

Pundits who have seen 'Slow-mo' replays probably loads of times.A referee only sees things once from his angle and often his view is obscured. Trust me, I know and have spoken to many referees about this.

Do pundits in general heap praise on some brilliant decisions ? Do they focus on the referee when he makes terrific judgement calls ?

I saw Wilf pulled over the line in real time but the ref was nearer. I was too far away to give a verdict on McArthur but tv confirmed that both ref and linesman had an unobstructed view. I think it is fair to say that the ref was inconsistent in handing out yellow cards too.

So the ref was justified in issuing a yellow card to McArthur because he "saw something". The implication of your statement is that he saw McArthur dive. The ref didn't see that, for the simple reason that it never happened.

I think our mate Clatts was in disguise running the line at Wembley today...ridiculous offside decision against Soton and yet again Manure get away with it. I watched the England rugby and when in doubt the ref sends the decision upstairs, why oh why can't we do that in football?

Willo is a FAILED ref. Didn't even make the grade. got loads of abuse on the touchline about his decisions. Why do you think he idolises "Mark" and any other s*** ref. If he admits they are the dog s***e they are he is admitting to himself that he is and was a w*** ref. He comes on here acting as if he is some wise old professional who has regular meetings with top refs when in reality he was nothing more than a sunday league ref who knows no-one and uses online websites to get all his pointless bollocks. His dear old "mark" would laugh at this pathetic old fool. He loves all the controversy as it makes him feel like "mark" who to the same tune gets a lot of controversy (rightly so).

Now then Mr. Willo. Dare you to tell me I'm wrong.
