there's 10 other players helping too leave him exposed, which points the question down too, are any of them good enough for their position? Hennessey played last season and we didn't get relegated, has he suddenly become the only relegation woe since? very much doubt it...
clueless tactics and lack of desire are much more too blame, rather than just one man

Ok so you're happy to stick with him? Welcome to the Championship next season then

Look up his stats mate, far from the worst in Premier in saves to shots on goal.
Look for another scapegoat.

I'll be brutally honest - I would be as nervous as a kitten if Speroni was in goal. I accept he has deserved all the plaudits for his past performances but I'm afraid his best days are behind him.

Maybe if we had signed Adrian or Begovic in the 'Window' supporters might feel somewhat easier. At the start of the season I had Randolph on my list as a possible recruit but I think he has forced his way back into W.Ham's team.

There's no point talking about the past transfer windows now, its hindsight.

We need some forward thinking and that can be addressed in the next game, get shot of Hennesey. He's had enough chances.

Others in defence have been dropped, Kelly, Delaney and Tomkins - Hennesey should be no different.

Who the hell is worse?? Not a scapegoat, just useless! You defend him if you like but most people can see he's just not up to it

So are you not nervous with Hennessey in goal then? Everyone else is!

I'm looking at the overall picture not just Hennessey.
Our problems have run far 'Deeper' than the goalkeeper. We have to hope that our new signings provide a huge boost, if not we will be relegated.

Look at the team yesterday - apart from PVA we had the players who have taken us into a 'Tailspin'. Is it any wonder we lost ?

I think you'll find that plenty of players have been highlighted across the board, puncheon, Ledley, Delaney, Benteke and even the manager BS. This is a Hennesey thread, hardly a scapegoat as the whole team has amassed criticism.

Don't start going on about Hennessey until you know the facts, look them up.
I am not defending him, but he isn't the problem, cant you see that.

Seen the first goal. Clear foul on Hennessey. He goes up to make a simple catch, gets clattered by Sunderland forward who is nowhere near the ball, ball is dropped and is whacked in off the post. I can't see what ref Marriner was thinking to allow it.
Tale of two moments for me. That goal should never have been allowed, and Tomkins should have put his sitter away - same as at West Ham. Yes, we collapsed at the end of the first half - but it could have been a different story.

Yup first goal was a foul. Other end and it's a free kick. Why we didn't appeal I've no idea. However doesn't alter the fact he is inconsistent (although doesn't warrant the abuse he receives and blame for every goal conceded). Probably a break out of the firing line will do him and us good but if anybody thinks putting Jules in goal is going to change a rotting club is sadly deluded. We're as good as down. We will not recover from yesterday.

After 24 games we have the least amount of points we've ever had in a PL season and 4 of those 7 seasons we were relegated.

I'm really shocked there's still debate on this. Hennessey has shown his shot-stopping credentials in recent weeks but any Palace fan who doesn't tremble with anxiety every time he comes for a ball must have taken some powerful sedatives.

You should be looking at the c*** who was in charge before Allardyce.
I hated that c*** when he played for us and until he became our manager I didn't think I could hate that c*** anymore than I already did.
But I was wrong. I do.

He is a very poor premier league goalkeeper . His decision making is terrible .He comes off his line when he should stay ie West Ham (defenders have the situation under control) and stays when he should come .The first goal yesterday I would agree he should have punched it but that would have been when the initial cross came in . Its travelled what ,30 yards in the air and the guy heads it inside the six yard box . Any ball in the air inside the six yard box has to be the goalkeepers to deal with . Costa scored from the same spot for Chelsea ,another Goalkeeping mistake when he hesitated came half way and , well we all saw it .

His Kicking is rubbish ,he either scuffs it or just lumps it ,his poor kicking costs us possession and matches .

Having said that the defence in front of him is at times shocking .
