Everyone is being totally shortsighted here.

You want to blame anyone?

Look no further than Steve Coppell. Had he not signed Pardew as a player he couldn't have scored 'that,' goal built up a relationship with the faithful and the chairman, been heralded as the meesiah on his return then helped to get us in the mess we are in.

Cant believe no one has spotted this as we do love a scapegoat on here

Does it make people feel better, having someone to blame? It doesn't change the fact were are not good enough at this level.
Pardew was unlucky with the Soare accident, he was obviously an important part of the playing style, the cover we had was not good enough.
Why players like Dann, Puncheon and Ward have not performed anywhere near their potential this year, why I haven't a clue.
All the media talk, we are too good to go down, just shows they haven't any idea of our plight.

It's got nothing to do with making oneself feel better about apportioning the blame, just as long as the blame goes to the one at fault.
And that one isn't Allardyce.

To claim they are not good enough is rubbish how have these same players managed to keep us in the league for many seasons then?

Tactics and fitness as well as confidence play massive roles.

AP changed everything at the club to his way and refused to play defensive football which was the strength of this team then you got him even setting out fitness side of things when even club doc advises him otherwise.

Spot b0ii0ck Painter. When things are going swimmingly, everyone is a hero.
When the shlt hits the fan, it's Point-The-Finger Time.

That's why I'm self-employed

£32m to spend on one player. A player whom I rate BTW so kudos for that, Pardew.
However, he was given mores to spend in the market than any other Palace manager before him.
And yet he still managed to bollocks it up.
Take a bow now, Pardew because you'll never get the chance to do so near another prem club.

And the pay-off for failure is more than I'll earn in a lifetime.
If I fvcked up a job, I'd get a couple of months severance. tops. Soopa Al wins the fcking lottery.

That's what fuels my bitterness towards Pardew. Also hoping The Board learn a few lessons from this, as it's gonna cost them big, whatever happens

So if allardyce came in and won 5 out of 6 would you praise pardew for the squad he built ? Pardew had a terrible run of results, the players have had a terrible run of results and allardyce has had terrible results. We see clubs replacing managers every December, they either work or they don't at the moment it's not working. His paid to come in and sort the mess out the clubs in, if he can't do that then that's his fault for not being good enough. We wasn't in the bottom three before he came and every expert including Sam himself said what a decent squad he inherited.

That's not true at all!
You're making this up as you go along.
We've just brought on board a highly regarded manager who has got a massive job on his hands having to clear this s*** up.
There's an old saying and never was it more apt....Rome wasn't built in a day. And you and all the other Pardew apologists would do well to remember that.

There is also an old saying that 'A good workman never blames his tools'. But this is what Sam has been doing of late. I never liked Pardews 'me' attitude, however, believe it or not, I did see what he was trying to do. I also don't like Sams way of playing, but it's needs must at the moment. It's swings and roundabouts. I could see a glimmer of improvement in our defensive display yesterday, but lack of threat on goal. We could go on all day blaming everyone, but it won't make a lot of difference. A bit like the manager swap at the moment. Hardly anything has changed. But it has for Swansea. Does that make Clement a better man than Sam? So let's wait and see what miracle Sam can work, and wait to the end of the season to judge. I have a feeling that if we go down it will be all Pardews fault. But I think there is more to it than that, and with Sam being given the transfer window and plenty of time, lets hope he lives up to the hype that some people have poured on him.

The only thing I can think of is the man management behind the scenes. I can't think of a single player from 15/16 that performed as well last season (& this) although Wilf has come on recently - something good from the Benteke signing.

There's a bit of me sees this 'transition' season as more like jumping out of a plane without a parachute and hoping for the best. Hopefully SA will find a way to stop the free fall but it's a big ask.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!
