Sam doesn't prowl up and down the touchline mainly because I'm sure he's had heart conditions.
The criticism of Sam is that the football is crap to watch. I would agree, but it's no different than what Leicester were coming out with last year.
Depends on what people want I suppose; get hammered by teams and pop up with a 1-0 win or play some decent stuff (Pardew) and lose pretty much all your matches in a year.
We had a great manager in Pulis and couldn't hold onto him.

He didnt want to be held onto and forced the exit. Hope he has sent us the cash.....I wonder what job he had lined up

Allardyce is yesterday's man and a hasbeen. A son of Warnock. He was bloody good twelve years ago at Bolton but his demeanour now is that of Stan Ogden propping up the bar on his last pint but suddenly finding a £5 note in his back packet.

I said that sometime at the start of his West Ham tenure. Got that wrong. Maybe you have too.

He's played 1 of his signings and got a decent full debut performance out of him. 1 or 2 more coming in very soon.

Don't you think you're a bit premature on your judgement?

I think you're hugely underestimating him. Lazy stereotyping there too.
I think he's the best appointment we could have hoped for, especially considering the wreckage we've been left with.

Whatever Sam achieves a lot of posters will not give him any credit, and they seem to be willing him to fail which is sad.
If we stay up he will have earned every penny and more.

He was pretty good less than 12 months ago as well...

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I really do not think what you are saying is correct, but for a slime ball journalist and a bit naivety and stupidity he would have still been very much early in his tenure as the New England Manager, hardly yesterday's man or indeed a has been as you put it! I will be more than happy with him if he can save us and if he can't then I'm sure he will at least have tried his best and don't forget he saved Sunderland only last year, another example of not being yesterday's man! Come on get off the Guy's back, give him a fair chance!

I am as he is only 6 games in. But, and I hope I am wrong, the fire in his belly may be more a little flame these days and that has trickled down to the players. Everton was, apparently, an improvement (wasn't able to see it) so maybe there is some light.

But as it stands since his appointment we are way below the standard needed to avoid the drop and 'yes' we are just a bit worse now than under Pardew.

Dear Kermit, I really do not think we can get any worse than when AP left us ranked 92/92 in the table of football league clubs points ratio per game in 2016, the good news is that we can only get better and move upwards, but it will take time!

I'm hoping he stays if we do get relegated. It's good to have some continuity and he's proven at West Ham that he can get promoted from the Championship. That's a tough job especially with that club.

Let him put his own stamp on the team and then judge him.

i wasnt for SA, but then i wasnt against it either. lets give the bloke a chance. his pressers make sense. cant see him accepting players below par performances for too long. if we can get a few over the line, we may have a chance. my only concern is that a new manager shouldve been installed sooner, as i fear we're running out of games.

fully agree a new Manager should have come in at the end of last season as AP secured just 11 points from 19, SP has to take the blame for that!

Why do you continually go on about Pardew being sacked at the end of last season, others may agree with you, but he wasn't. Keep talking about it ain't going to change things, we are where we are.
It's a new managers tenure now, he has been left with a bit of a shambles to sort out, it ain't going to change overnight. Hopefully he can get a few new players in, then he can shape the team to the way he wants us to play.
Moaning about the past is pointless.
