I was replying to an earlier post i was NOT condonning Cluterfcuk at all. I do however take issue with you in regards to assessing. You have NO idea what is involved or how it works. Your opinion is just that nothing more or less.

I have been involve & know a hell of more than you ever will oh & please NEVER say that im not a true Palace fan. Im now entering my 57th season supporting/tolerating/cursing them OK

so why not explain what happens? Willo never would....all we as fans see is referees getting worse and worse with NO punishment/sanctions whatsoever!!

This has all been done to death in Willo threads over the years since long before our know-it-all friend wandered in. Suffice it to say that if this "process" worked (which he now admits he doesn't know inside out after all) then the standards of officiating would steadily improve; instead we have seen a consistent and continuing pattern of decline and, last season, quite a lot of really embarrassing performances.

None of that is under much dispute round here and anyone who walks in singing the praises of Cl*****burg and claiming to be a Palace fan is bound to get flamed to toast for obvious reasons.

I will happily explain to you or anyone that wants know. However, there are certain things im not allowed to divulge ie personnel hearings etc due to legal ramifications. Hope you understand.

Ok when you get back tell us all what happens on a general basis, we dont wanna know names, we all know the bad ones.Just interested in what happens when they get a series of bad reports, as plenty of them must. If some of us did our jobs as badly as they do we'd be sacked, they never seem to be!

Yeah, Willo explained this once before and then we found his words verbatim on the PGMOL website.

The only thing you need to explain is why these performance reviews result in performances getting worse instead of better. Good luck.

the report from ref is submitted to the league, the same is for clubs reports with a grading.
if below a mark of 51 they are then down graded if more than 2 match grading in a row are below 51 which has happened,
most league games there is a assessor who marks the refs performance, regardless what the assessor marks the clubs marks hold sway,
TV is used because there is 30 cameras to catch all foul play as i said before ref only has 2 eyes
So reason we still have the same refs are the clubs dont want todo the paperwork when marking ref below 51

Being a ref in football is one of the hardest jobs in football to get right, as you only give what you see, standing in the wrong position having players run across you so on and so on
Clattenberg has been the ref 23 times for us, but we all remember the final because he was so bad.
not defending him but showing how blinked we are when result doesnt go our way

Well since refs get suspended or demoted about as often as my cat greets me in Japanese one can see you have to do pretty badly to fall below the pass mark. Or are you really telling us that a club that's been clearly wronged, and has said as much in its presser to that effect as is allowed, "can't be bothered to fill in the form" to report serious incompetence? Pull the other one. Anyway if that's the case it's clear that the referees are s***e but aren't getting called on it, and that the system doesn't work. Quod erat demonstrandum.

And how often have we seen refs give things that they quite clearly can't have seen but have simply guessed? Wilf "diving" the other week, for instance.

He even admitted to thinking about his record refereeing us as he was doing so? If he was impartial, why would this matter? The least we should expect from a ref is impartiality but it often looks like there is a bias towards sides, in my opinion.
This was also backed up by research a few years back. Refs need a major shake-up.
My conjecture is that, when the Premier League started controlling their own refs, they were told to make the games 'more entertaining'; hence the controversial decisions every week.
