I've played as a target man in a fairly high standard for many years. My opinion is that when you're the only one up front, it's hard to close down defenders as you're always outnumbered. Rather CB stayed up front on the shoulder of their last defender than waste energy running around like a headless chicken. But that's only my opinion..

It didn't do Greaves or Lineaker any harm in their career. I don't care if Benteke doesn't run around like a headless chicken. As his goal rate is 1 goal every 2 games, I think most of us will except that.

Pointless pressing the back four on his own if we aren't playing a high pressing game, he's probebly been doing exactly what he's told.

Think Benteke was and is a massive signing for us and still can't quite believe we signed him. I would imagine fans of all bar the top 4 or 5 clubs would be well chuffed to see their team sign him. There have some proper lows in 2016, Benteke, for me, is one of the big high points. A couple of iffy penalties aside he is on for well into double figures this season, playing as a lone striker, he's absolute class and what we were crying out for up front.
