Totally agree with this. I would not be proud to have BFS as the manager of my beloved club and would consider it be to close to a selling-out of what's left of the club's soul.

This.

I would have Allardyce - had he not been caught engaging in some seriously dodgy business while barely installed as manager of the national team.

It's quite sad that so many are willing to completely overlook this. I know football is full of corruption and greed, but that doesn't mean we have to go along with it. Have some f*cking standards people.

EDIT: I'll add that, thankfully, I trust Parish not to go there.

As I pointed out he has been parachuted in to save clubs so his record of late, is actually impressive when taken in context.

Where as our own savi tactician Pardew has an open play book and will change his style to cater for every opposition club we face. FFS mate he even said it in the media "HE WILL NOT CHANGE HIS STYLE" Allardyce has proven that he can get teams to play football once the basics are in place, as can Pulis you only had to watch West Brom Batter Burnley to see that.

Beyond one that stays up ? just what do you think AP is capable of then ? As far as I can see the only certain thing is that if we carry on as we have been, we WILL be relegated.

Right I haven't said I want Pardew* so I'm not sure why exactly you're getting so wound up.

Being parachuted in to a club just proves he can motivate in the short term. It doesn't prove he has the ability to take a club onto the next level. And I haven't seen any real evidence that "he can get teams to play football once the basics are in place".

The question was whether I would want Allardyce if Pardew was being replaced, not whether I would rather have Allardyce or Pardew.

The answer to the question is no I would not. He is not the man to take the club to the next level.

*Nor have I said I don't want Pardew. At the moment I am on the fence. I sort of feel it has got to a stage where it is not recoverable but equally I have seen signs in the way we are playing that it is improving.

Unless my memory is playing tricks Pardew was fined £60,000 and banned from the ground for headbutting a Hull player and he also referred to Manuel Pellegrini as a f***ing old c*** on camera

Was more of a love tap than a headbutt. A meeting of heads even.
And I doubt that he is anymore or less foul mouthed than most managers. He just got caught by the cameras.

Luckily it's not our job to worry about that. You'd hope that the club has people dealing with it though. One thing that is for sure. As a premier league club based in the capital, we should be able to cast our net far and wide.

I'm pretty sure they have a back-up plan in the works this time round.

I liked Pards, up until that "clean sheets aint nuthin" comment anyway. I wanted him to succeed, but to put a different perspective on it, if he goes, would you hire him if you were in charge of another club, after only 3 wins or whatever it is this year?

Why ?

I don't like or trust him and the video evidence of how he behaves as part of the last sting only confirmed why. He's clearly been one to take and potentially offer bungs in the past and he's still partial to obscene greed. He's an old school/out-of-date operator far too shady in this day and age and for CPFC.

Some of his management methods may be advanced with all the Poozone data and analysis but he's still a greedy fat cnut on the make.

Again, why ? people are very good at giving Allardyce a hard time, but no one has givena single footballing reason why ?

OK, how about his team "style" being some sort of foul hybrid of Pulis, Freedman and Peter Taylor?

I'd prefer the likes of a "South London / Surrey borders geezer" type like Pardew to a "dour, greedy, unlikeable northerner" like Big Sam.

We are playing too well to go down. Once the mistakes either stop or reduce (as they surely will), the points will accrue.

so by all accounts you are happy with the style of play but not results, i get and fully understand that.

I am happy that when we revert back to type, push someone up front with Bentekers get the wingers swapping over, and getting early balls fed to them, we look bloody dangerous, just like we did when we put two up front against City. AP wants us to play tippy tappy crap, which is fine if you have the players to do it, no point having possession in your last third unless you can convert that into goals in the opponents last third. We don't/Can't.

but in your own words you say that for a half a game we look like we could beat arsenal with 9 men, so really were almost there in terms of getting to where pardew wants us to be woth regards to style of play. and you want him sacked before he has had the chance to fully implement the new style for 90mins.

The half of the game we look like we belong in the prem, is the half where he drops this ridiculous notion that we can pass our way up the pitch like Arsenal or Barca. When we start with the direct approach, balls out wide for the wingers to scare the s*** out of the full backs with Tekers waiting in the box with support from punch and McCarthur, that my friend is when we look s*** hot, not when when we are f***ing about it in our own third, until we get closed down, lump it forward to Benteke, and invariably loose possession of the ball.

i just don't bt get the fact your happy with where the teams going performance wise but your not willing the let the current manager, who lets face it has earnt the right to time, time to finish what he has started abd you want to turn all that on his head by appointing big sam.

I don't know how you got I was happy with performances ? I said I was happy with the players we have, but that they are being made to play a way that they can not do, it is only when AP allows them to play how they are comfortable with playing that we see the scorching hot counters and wing play.

We are capable of giving any team a game, but not with AP's slow build up play.

sorry danny but your logic seems twisted to me.

From where I am sat it seems sound logic to me, you wouldn't use a fish to pull cart, and that mate, is exactly what the arrogant one is currently doing.

Anyone who thinks the likes of fat sam (gobby northerner ) isn't opposed to some ripe language is deluded. Same with the likes of Sir Alex. difference with AP is his temper and emotions boiled over with a camera crew close by.

danny...you do realise we dont have yannick anymore right?

thats why we are changing style to suit our players, and not playing that pure counter game he enabled us to do.
