Hennessy back: Mandanda will then have to earn his place. Our defence is shocking. Absolutely shocking. Mandanda doesn't come off his line enough. Mandanda, Chung Yong Lee, Jordon Mutch,Tomkins and Cabaye in... (None have performed well at this level at all) and Campbell stays too... Jedi, Murray and Gayle are let go. Painful. Truly painful. Pardew best pull his arrogant head out of his backside, give Hennessy his place back or I am going to turn into a Pardew out soon.

However good or bad he is he has not been in goal for about 23 of the 34 Pl games of this awful run. So maybe the blame lies elsewhere

I can't believe people are questioning his starting place in the team. If we want to progress as a football team we need to start backing rather than slating our 'top' players. The real question is what has happened to our defence?

You forgot to release Johnson,Salako and Morrison ...although I predict a promising future for that young whippersnapper, Gareth Southgate.

Mandanda might not have any clean sheets but he's making more saves. With the lose of Pap and the semi introduction of Tomkins our defence has been unsettled and frankly all at sea. Mandanda has been making more saves and actually keeping us from suffering a major routing IMO. It's certainly not time to give him a rest. January can't come soon enough, we need a left back.

No he isn't - I worked out the stats the other day and SM has saved 34% of the shots on target against him while WH saved 38% of those against him during 2015-16 and in the first 2 games of this season.
