The game had finished, he didn't disrupt the game, wasn't inciting violence, goading away fans ect he ran down to speak to a fan favourite who was leaving. If it was to abuse the player then fair enough, if it was to tell him they had a gift for him then it's pathetic.

I know, but the issue is that football policing has a rather 'draconian naturThe' due to the history associated with the amount of violence and trouble that's was associated with the game for decades - and which still kind of lurks around under the surface. I think a lot of people who weren't really around during that era tend to forget just how bad it got.

There are so many absurdly stupid rules around football left over from those dark days, it would surprise me that someone could even get permission to be anywhere other than where their ticket says without risking being banned. Let alone permission to enter 'the field or a restricted area' without being escorted officially.

I couldn't really care what happens to him, if he wasn't part of the hf neither would the majority of people on here. Just seems like a bit of a witch-hunt.

If he wasn't part of the HF you wouldn't have posted as many times as you have on this thread, works both ways fella.

Haven't been posting for or against him, just against all the poster's sat on their high horse who were probably singing homophobic chants a couple of seasons ago.

Amazing reply, take a screen shot and show all your mates down the pub how much of a keyboard comedian you are. Couldn't even tell you what the blokes name is, think your the one like a lot of others on here who are a bit obsessed with the hf. Chuck a black hoody on and they will probably take you in with open arms.

I think you have posted about the HF on here at least twice as much as me so it must be you obsessed fella. As a bloke in his 50's i think i would look a bit of a div jumping up and down with the HF.I used to think they were great but some of the things they do at times is embarrassing, this thread is an example of some of the silly stuff.

Homophobic chants? At a football match? Whatever next!
We have to do something about this 'offending people' lark. I mean I've never heard of anyone disrespecting, insulting, mocking anyone at football because of the colour of their skin, their sexual preference, religious faith, country of origin, etc, etc.
Wake up and grow up. It goes on and (vile and unacceptable as much of it is) it will go on going on. If football supporters are not allowed to insult the opposition or the level of insult is heavily sensored many will stop going to football. We live in a free country which mean people are free to do stuff you disagree with as well as agree with. Stopping people doing things you don't like kind of takes away the 'free' part.

much like the encroaching onto the pitchside area is illegal, so is Homophobic chanting.

Both of which are overkill in individual circumstances but justified when covering the massess.

one bloke running along the pitchside to call Bolasie names is one thing, 4,000 clambering over the signs is another.

One bloke calling a player a woofter is one things, a stand hurling abuse is just as funny, i mean wrong.

I know what you are saying, but the other side of that coin though, is that if he wasn't in the HF he wouldn't have had 'permission' and this wouldn't be a story.

If I for example had left my seat to get on the pitch and give Yannick a hug and say thank you, I'm pretty sure I would have just got my banning order without any real fuss about it. Or I wouldn't have got that far and been tackled by a steward/security before I got to him.

On balance I appreciate the HF and what they bring, there are some things I don't like but I respect that they have contributed a huge amount. I would rather it didn't become one rule for the HF and one for everyone else though. They already receive beneficial treatment on tickets for big games (which I'm fine with as the singing sections at Wembley have worked very well).

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.
