According to the news hes being discharged on Friday. Surely if he has broken his femur he would be in hospital longer. It might not be as bad as first feared

Why? Once they've set the break what else can they do?

Optimistic as ever

Years ago my team mate broke his femur he was in hospital for 3 weeks and ended with a permanent limp. I guess medicine has moved on

Do we know if he broke any bones, or in fact what his injuries were? All the club have said is that he injured his thigh & jaw - it's possible there were no broken bones at all and he could be back sooner than we think.

If the femur was broken (depending on how severely and what kind of break) I would expect we're talking months rather than weeks though.

EDIT: Pardew said ‘He's not in a good way in terms of football, I think he's broken his leg so maybe not so good.

Haven't seen it confirmed since then that he did actually break his leg.

Feel sorry for Souare but have always preferred Kelly as our left back and this is a blessing in disguise.

Kelly actually defends wholeheartedly rather than getting carried away joining our attack and leaving us vulnerable at the back.

That said I wish Pape all the best and a speedy recovery.

How can you say this? You disgust me for even thinking it. I tell you what why don't you go and support the scum. They deserve you

We also don't know if he will be charged for drink driving and attempting to leave the scene of an accident (there may have been two), both of which appear possible if the ITK people are correct.

Am I missing something here whereby when you are cut out of a car and put into an Air Ambulance you can be charged for leaving the scene of an accident

I broke my femur in 1982 and was in hospital for nearly a year, it was just above the knee too close to the joint to pin. There were other complications to be fair. Barry Sheen had his famous crash, broke his tibias which were plated. He was in and out in a few weeks while I was on traction wishing I could be pinned.

We need to wait and see what is said by club. We don't know if it is a break - lots of people use term break for fracture.

If it is a break is it a single break and clean or is a multi break. Also where is it in Femur can it be pinned , does it need to be held in an external brace etc.

If it is a simple break he could be training in about 4 months and fully fit in about 6. But if it is a complex break it could be a lot longer

Shouldn't the medics know the extent of Souare's injury by now? And then let us know as well.....
