To the tune of Hakuna Matata, from the Disney motion picture The Lion King. Performed by Timone & Pumbaa.

Steve Mandanda
He makes wonderful saves
Steve Mandanda
It aint no passing phase
It means more clean sheets
For the rest of our games
It was problem free
No transfer fee
Steve Mandanda

I was at the Stoke game and have seen the highlights from Saturday at Sunderland.
Against Stoke Steve mucked about too close to goal with the ball and a defender - playing football with it rather than clearing it - which led I think to a corner?
Against Sunderland he threw it out to Ledley - who admittedly should have done better - when he was in the middle but not too far forward and Ledley cocked up and we went a goal down.
This is not a criticism as I want to see us play football not hoof ball and I also think Mandanda is brilliant but is he used to being able to distribute to players with more time than our League gives him/them?
Is he getting used to the League or do we think AP is asking for it to happen.
We can't continue to make those mistakes as top teams will not let us back in the game.
As I say - not having a go - just asking for thoughts as he is a great keeper in my opinion!

I can understand where you are coming from. However, I think we as fans are still nervous at a ball playing goalkeeper after watching Carlo Nash try it so many times!

And our very own Jules getting caught in possession against Everton I seem to recall?!

But still no clean sheets, we need the back four settled because we won't be able to always score more than the opposition

the dignified don't even enter in the game

It is an interesting one as we want to see the ball played out from the back - maybe our outfield players just need to get used to Steeeeeeeeeve doing his own thing!

It does seem very strange to see our keeper playing it out rather than smashing it down the pitch every time.

My initial thought on Saturday was Mandanda played Ledley into trouble but seeing the goal from another angle there was space in front of Ledley to play forward but he seemed to panic and try to play backwards.

I like him playing out, long may it continue

Re the Everton goal, shouldn't he have scampered across and caught the ball - same as Wayne would have done

I thought he was a bit immobile at a time when alertness and agility were required.

However, it was almost worth conceding the goal to see his entertaining temper tantrum. Can anyone set it to music?

When was the last time we had a 'keeper assertive enough to hand out a 'ollocking to his teammates?

Best Signing we have ever made, if it wasnt for Lloris he would be frances No1. Only reason we have conceded so many is because the back line isnt settled, and we are missing Englands No1 centre back, our own scotty dann. and we are missing our first choice left back. if and when we have a fully fit squad, i reckon we could push for europe, maybe get in, if we very lucky. but all the classic top six look good. But steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve gives us a chance, not many other gks would! speroni is a hard act to follow in being a legend and gk, but steeeeeeeeve can match it easily!!
