In fact its completely the opposite makes total sense. We couldn't even guarantee him a start here with Zaha and Townsend. He will likely get far more game time there quicker and will be away from the media farce.

George Courtney, the World Cup referee, everyone is looking at him. When will he blow....? |

It makes perfect sense. Will get more game time and play with players who are probably more technically gifted. He probably won't get paid as much either!! Gain experience abroad, something too few British players are willing to do

If I was a British footballer of 19 years old, I wouldn't have moved to that team, because I don't know anything about them, and I doubt whether he does. He will be back in Britain within 2 year's and apart from the obvious (money) I cannot see the benefit of this move. He would have got his move, if he had bided his time and held fire. Peer pressure on a young lad, yet again for their own personal gain.

The blue collar Germans love their football and Leipzig is certainly industrial and blue collar! As others have said, he'll not be living his life in a media circus every day but will still be getting a decent wedge (in footballing terms) and playing at a very high level. Probably got a promise of first team football as well. Shame we didn't get him, but at least he's not going to be another big prem club permanent loanee who never gets their chance.
Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune) |

German salaries are nowhere near the level of the PL You have no idea what he knows about German football, as a footballer he probably knows more than you might imagine. Maybe he even spoke to someone like Paul Lambert Why go to somewhere like Arsenal or Liverpool where he'd be lucky to get any game time.

Agreed he would have been on far more in the prem than at Leipzig owned by Red Bull or not.
