I'm sorry but I find this comment a little ridiculous. You think lack of ambition has been a recurring theme? Please recall the club's position when CPFC2010 took over.. When they spoke about Premier league promotion most discounted that as normal wishful thinking. The growth and development over the last few years are down to the ambition of the club's management and owners. The American investment was clearly allocated for stadium and infrastructure improvement and that was made completely transparent at the time. While Bolasie is one of our best players (and one of my favourite) if the club can't bring in the quality of striker needed to progress the club they have to look at making a sale. This deal is the best that has even been rumoured for any of our players and it would be foolish to not consider it. How else are we supposed to get good striking options in? How else are we supposed to progress? I would say that if this money is responsibly reinvested in good attacking options in this window then this IS showing ambition. Edited by GlaziertoEagle (09 Aug 2016 7.57pm) so true... we did almost go down last year and our main issue was scoring so this is the kind of hard moves you have to make to stay up.

Bolasie couldn't feed my cats!! 30 million is insane and we'd be mad not to take it, especially as it'll probably push the benteke deal over the line!!

I think it is a mistake selling Bolasie for the sake of buying Benteke, can we not give Everton Zaha instead. Lets hope when we play Everton Bolasie don't run rings around us and scores three goals against us You never know we might be able to buy him back next season at discount price.

He's a star at Palace. Me and the kids love him, you pay to watch players like Bolasie. It may be good business but I feel sad as a real character leaves the club.

The lack of ambition at this club should not surprise anymore. It has been the the recurring theme. So the American investment was all about the Ground then? Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (09 Aug 2016 7.22pm) If you think Bolasie is a better player/prospect than Benteke, I am Gobsmacked. I have always backed Yala but his performance in the Final and even on Saturday smacked of someone who believed the hype and believes he belongs at a "bigger club". Well good luck with that.

Maybe, just maybe he wanted to go anyway as he thought he has gone as far as he can go with Palace. And maybe, just maybe Palace are prepared to sell because they don't think they can move him forward as a player anymore. Granted his pace causes problems, but his end product is eractic.

Did yo watch the Euros? He was a massive waste of money for City. Wilf was a flop at M.UTD could not even get into the team but he is very good for us. City has not been good for him, he should never have been in the euros, that does not make him a bad player.

I am shocked that someone is prepared to pay £25-30m and if so we should take it. I suspect Everton will think he will do to every team what he has done to them the last 3 seasons. I doubt it though.
